Have visited this place on numerous occasions. However recently it has gone badly down hill. The cleanliness is appalling. The staff have never been friendly but they have now reached a new level of grumpiness. I cannot see why people que for hours to visit! The ice cream is just pretty bland and not great at all.

Our visit was an hour before closing on a rainy Easter Monday and there was NO queue! We ordered waffles with ice cream and toffee sauce, a banoffee pie sundae, and an Easter bunny sundae (which was served in a chocolate Easter egg!!) plus Root Beer, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and a Fanta. The little lot came to just on... More

Love this shop. The Turkish delight sundae is delicious. I come to Seaham just to come here sometimes. Lots of lovely flavours. Only probs are the long queues in summer.

Visited Sunday 2 April en route home from Whitby. The place was quite full but we managed to get a table ok and then had to queue to place our order. I ordered two tuna toasties and two waffles with ice cream and the works. After about fifteen minutes waiting I queried where our order was and was told it... More

Walked in at around quarter past 6 and with no heavy queue in front of us, it still took 10 minutes to get served . The staff then muttered between themselves how they were going to have to ''lock the doors so that they could get home''. I would have no problem if they said that they were closed I... More

Called in for an ice cream as it had been recommended by friends. Disappointed as staff especially a lady serving was most unpleasant, when asked where to order she was extremely sharp and said "at the counter" as we hadn't visited previously we weren't aware of this as menus are at the table and presumed it was waitress service. It... More

What excellent value for money the breakfast with beauty & the beast event was! Will definitely attend another event like this! Everything was spot on. The breakfast just kept on coming - milk/juice, choice of cereal, choice oh fruit, 2 slices of toast on nice bread (not just a standard sliced loaf) and then pancake with syrup & fruit topping!... We headed here for Sunday sundaes but queued for ages without being acknowledged by the team of three people behind the counter. The working surface looked unclean and seeing one member of staff wipe her hand on her dress and then touching ingredients to garnish a dessert put me off eating here. All three staff left the counter and after... More

Visited here on Saturday and there was a big wait but boy was the wait worth it. Wonderful flavours and great tasting icecream. The waffles were amazing too. Wait and enjoy the treats. Enough place to sit in
