I've visited Los Boliches serveral times over the years and although I have seen it I have never been in bar Pepe until my most recent trip, which has been my loss. . Bar Pepe is located in a small square just off the main...shopping street in Los Boliches. I have to say it had some really good tapas and decent portions too. It was getting busy went I went as it was lunch time and there seemed to be a good mix of locals and tourists. I wasn't in an adventurous mood one the particular day I went in and simply had some sizable chicken wings and a slice of tortilla, washed down with a large beer, which came to just over 6 euro's. Whilst I was there it was noticable that people were coming in and taking food away in their own containers, obviously happy to do takeaways. I will definately be spending a little more time there on my next visit.More
Just on the square in Los Boliches, we were recommended this place a couple of years ago and have been going in a couple of times every time we are in the area on holiday Food is fantastic and great value for money, while it...is not really much to look at it is definitely worth a visit.More
Walking around the back streets of Los Boliches we decided to drop into Bar Pepe as temperatures were hitting the 30 degrees plus mark and we were in need of a cooling beer. This is a great looking tapa bar, its only a small tapa...bar but big on character, the interior is superb, an authentic traditional Spanish look, great furnishings and decorated tastefully throughout, it's not flashy, it's a good old fashioned locals tapa bar. We were here on a Wednesday late afternoon, we got seats at the bar were a very pleasant member of staff served us a beer each,we opted to have San Miguel beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and accompanied with a tasty tapa each,we just chilled out and took in the great tapa bar we were in. My beer was exceptional, San Miguel beer is perfect for the hot climate you get in this region of Spain, it's a light, hoppy and well balanced beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink ,a beer style I really enjoy, it's the beer I most associate with Spain, our tapa plates were also delicious. We really enjoyed our beers and tapa in here and although we only stayed for the one beer each before we moved on as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Bar Pepe is easy to locate on Plaza Carmen, its by the beautiful church. A great tapa bar, well worth checking out if your in the area.More
Very delicious food and very refreshing wine drink. Helpfully and very friendly stuff. First but definitely not our last time in this place. Enjoy.
Tucked away and not so inviting as some of the other bars but delicious tapas, very hard to get better than this. We was very impressed
Like Spain used to be good food at a honest price. Lots of different tapas more added as you are sat all fresh and tasty. There is only room for about 24 people to sit and eat there is seating for 5 or 6 at the...bar. The two staff are very friendly and speak a little English, we had eight or nine tapas each one enough for two people lots of fresh bread very large gin and tonic and a beer €19 very good value , must visit if in the area.More
What a gem of a place : lovely proper Spanish tapas bar : Cabinet full of many different tapas : full of locals all friendly: staff really helpful: and the coffee was the best we tasted : looking forward to going back
We went in on the spur of the moment, not knowing what to expect. The bar was full of different tapas but no prices shown. We took a chance and ordered 4 tapas and a couple of glasses of red wine. The tapas were really...tasty and varied, we got another couple of glasses of red. I always try to work out what the bill will be, so I guessed at 30 euros, I was amazed when it only came to 18.50, real bargain. We will go again definitely and try some more of these delicious tapas. It's a pity there is no outside seating but don't let that put you off, give it a try.More
