Staying in Antequera for 3 nights at the Coso Viejo, next door. Ate here the first night and, after trying somewhere else, returned for our final night. Service friendly, house red good and reasonable, and the pork in blue cheese sauce absolutely gorgeous.

We both ordered at the same time . My meal came fairly quickly . I had finished it by the time my husband's plate arrived . When it eventually came his hake was still raw . It reappeared after ( I imagine ) a visit to the microwave . Tapas on the previous day , however , were excellent.

We stayed in Antequera early Feb 15 for 2 nights. We discovered this restaurant and on this day visit from Malaga on Feb 7th 17 had lunch there ;taking friends this time after visiting El Torcal-don't miss it. Once again the restaurant didn't let us down. Traditional Spanish tapas or full portions ;good atmosphere.,quality catering .I had a tapas to... More

Great tapas and just a superb choice. The tapas are large and great, and prices are very fair. Best choice in town, except if you look for a quiet place. Gets packed during weekend.

This is a restaurant loaded with character opp town square in old part of town. Good beer and terrific food. No complaints about service either. This town is a must see only 45 klm from Malaga. We ordered the set menues with 3 course and drink for 20 euro. Bargain.

We have enjoyed Antequera on numerous visits; this last one for a week around Christmas. Touring the village and seeing the many sights, with the climbing of its many hills, calls for good eateries and watering holes to refresh and restore the energy. On our climb to fortress Alcazaba and the church Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor, we... More

An excellent meal in a true Spanish restaurant full of locals not tourists. We were offered good tapas and had 2 glasses of excellent wine,Verdejo white and a crianza also from the rueda region. Not expensive.

Lovely pork dish, just wished the fries tasted more like hand cut freshly made versus frozen out of the bag crap. Are vegetables illegal in this country town?

Decent beer very nice Verdejo and when tapas menu arrived at 8pm the place filled up with local couples. Pretty good prices too, less than 20euros for 5 drinks and 5 tapas.

Thank hullmick
