Stopped of for a late bite to eat for lunch, to be honest had already stopped at a few places on the way but left as athmosphere/ambiance was lacking, so this was our last resort. Boy did we strike lucky, it wasn’t salubrious, it was...just an ordinary cafe with superb food, at least what we had was superb. We had the forest mushroom soup with a drizzle of homemade pesto oil and served with homemade brown bread, it was delicious. The team are obviously proud of their offerings and it showed, I’d have taken that soup home if I’d had a chance, lovely. If you’re after a light snack/ lunch go there.More

We went for lunch. the exterior looked very neat- but the interior was very country style/ girly which is not my cup of tea. the food is good and the service surprised us. we asked for an item from the breakfast menu and it was...provided without any excuses or apologies. There is something missing about the place- which is hard to put your finger on. It might be something about the curtains which appear to have been in place for a long period. it might be the tea which was served in builders mugs when cups and saucers would have been better. i really hate a printed menu where somebody has tried to overprint new higher prices over the original printed ones. Clumsy details which the management should address. there was no wi fi available!More

We just happened upon The Stonecutter one morning when we were on our way to Glendalough and stopped in for breakfast. Wow, what a surprising little jewel! Super friendly women running the place and a friendly old guy who eats there every morning who gave...advice about local sights. My husband had the trad. breakfast, I had eggs and salmon .... both were very good. We saw the fresh baked scones at the counter and decided to take 2 to go. They buttered them and added jam and wrapped them up for us. They were, without exception, the best scones we had during our 2 weeks in Ireland!More

I was in aughrim today and I decided I would have my lunch in the stonecutter cafe I was firstly greeted at the door by a lovely ladie which made the experience fantastic from the start then I had a coffee whilst I waited 5...minute for my food . I got a bagel with bacon chicken cheese and Frank's hot sauce WOW it was amazing probably the best bagel I have ever had. It wasn't overly hot but just perfect. I would highly recommend people to try it you won't regret itMore

Called in today for a quick lunch. Had a wonderful “All Day Breakfast” - beautifully cooked and very tasty - hit the spot entirely! Lovely friendly service. It’s small and cosy and seats several tables comfortably. Thoroughly recommend it.

I ate here with my wife. We've been before and enjoyed the food. The decor is lovely. It's full of character. I had the full Irish and it was perfect. I really enjoyed it. The coffee is very good too. They serve breakfast till 12....We arrived at 12:50 and asked of we could have breakfast. The waitress was happy to oblige. She was very nice and efficient. I often pass through Aughrim so this place will be a regular stop. I highly recommend a visit. They serve a "Workmans breakfast" all day but we just had the norm and it wasn't a problem. The scones are lovely too.More

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb and stopped in for coffee. Tracey was very friendly and gave us some great advice for some sightseeing locally. We came back the next day and had breakfast and it was delicious. Highly recommend this cafe!

This is a day time coffee shop with lunches served, to my knowledge they close at 6 pm. You can get bar food in Actons Pub at the Brooklodge, or failing that you can eat in Lawless Hotel in Aughrim Village.
