Stopped in for a bite to eat as we travelled through Glendalough in the Grainstore restaurant. We arrived on spec and were welcomed to a table straight away. The service was cordial and all respectful of Covid 19 measure. Ambiance was nice. We opted for...the €30 3 course meal. Chicken vol au vent was delicious well seasoned and very tasty and the poached pear salad was delish and the caramelised nuts were a great addition. I had steak for 5 supplement and was cooked to perfection. Partner had the mushroom tagliatelle and it was delish. Had Belgian waffles to finish. Great food not too expensive would deffo recommend.More

We went as a family of 12 (4 children) - just thought it was overpriced, the food was nice enough, starter of salad was lovely but the rest i could make myself. The menu was limited to what was on advertised on the website, no...fish dishes, and when we asked for mash and vegetables for the 2 younger infants they said they didn't have any... Personally i would give this place a 3 stars rating. BredaMore

Ate hear recently. €30 for 3 courses, an extra €5 supplement for a Striploin steak. The steak was large and well cooked but the general standard of the food was very very poor and uninspiring. I can eat at a fab local restaurant with Michelen...Bib Gourmand for €40. Aldridge Lodge, Duncannon, Co. Wexford, about 10 leagues ahead. Frozen, very small prawns, shop bought croutons (why?) , desserts did not seem homemade, lacking imagination or effort. Not any wonder the place was practically empty.More

We were on our way to Brooklodge and decided to stop for some lunch. We sat outside and it was a nice day. Staff were friendly, we had caesar salad and cajun wrap, both were tasty. Nice stop for us.

Called in on Sunday last - with family as heard the lunch was supposed to be good. We’re seated and 2 ladies serving we’re doing their best. Ordered soup, wasn’t the warmest whereas the butter was rock hard and the bread a little scare looking....Main meal was actually ok and all finished their plates but we were waiting 45 mins for it , wonder what the chef was doing as it was roast beef, bacon and cabbage and burger, more a carvery than an individual cooking of each dish.More

Had been there a few times. One of best food I ever had, great atmosphere. Nice to see a such good restaurant in small town like Aughim. I’ll definitely come back. Well done to everyone
