We didn't excpet any of this. They were kind enough to keep the restaurant open only for us (we came in late) full menu, full service and best food. The food was supberb! well cooked and beautifully served. dishes were interesting and tastey, and the decoration of the place is like taken from another time.

Recently in Mullingar on a Saturday afternoon we decided to give this elegant hotel a visit for a carvery lunch. I can only say that it was on a par with a motorway truck stop. While service was friendly, the food was handled like slops and almost thrown at us. We found a quiet window seat to eat. Then we... More

Myself and my wife popped in for an early evening meal this week. We both had the surf and turf which was delicious even though the steak came well done (we both asked for medium rare). For dessert we both went for the hot brownie which was really tasty but there is no need to include all the fruit on... More

Had been here before but a group of us visited again recently and it was very good. The early bird is fantastic value (between 5.30-7pm) at €24 for a 3 course including tea or coffee. Great selection on the menu. The food was very good and excellent portions. Staff were friendly and very efficient. I will definitely go back.

Recently organized a family anniversary dinner in this restaurant. It was a very busy Saturday night. Had to wait a while for our table, but once we were seated we were well looked after. Great variety on the menu, no complaints from any of our guests. Must say a big thank you to all the staff. Will definitely return again.

The James Joyce restaurant in The Greville Arms Mullingar excelled in every department when we had a Sunday evening dinner. The staff were faultless as well as being warm and friendly and the whole restaurant had a great atmosphere with a feeling of quality about it. The menu was comprehensive, good value and enterprising and finally, without hesitation, we must... More
