We weren't even hungry. But as we sat there drinking our coffee and transgender beer we stared heavily at the food sailing by until eventually our eyes browbeat our stomachs into ordering off the rich and varied menu. I selected the ham and cheese toastie....Three words, Oh My God. Forged up above by Jesus God's personal angel chef, every bite I took of that manna sent spasms of ecstasy shooting through my soul. Before her meal Grace said, 'I'll just have something small' and opted for the warm winter salad with goat's cheese. It wasn't small. But it was paradise on a pearly plate. Shells is indeed 'heaven on earth'.More

If you want the best breakfast of your life, coupled with an amazing view, perfect coffee, and the most unbelievable friendly service. You need to look no further than Shells. What Myles and Jane have created in this beautiful little corner of the world is...absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. Its perfect.More

Shells is now an attraction in its own right. A fabulous addition when it opened first but now there are many other choices. The attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired showing little interest in the customers especially if you need to...queue ( you nearly always need to queue/wait for table). Real take it or leave it attitude. They can do this because people arrive from all quarters. Food is ok - not quite the novelty it used to be. But it is all a bit too cool for school....More

Unfortunately Shells is not as good as it was when I visited several years ago. Maybe due to the impact of Covid. Maybe not. The caesar salad was drowning in dressing making the salad limp and the slices of fatty bacon looked unappetising, would be...better if pre cut into bite size pieces, especially for purpose of takeaway. The chicken was tasty.Coffee was fairly good.More

Visited today great experience and COVID protocols adhered too. Fantastic food & exceptionally fresh produce. Great menu with good options and variety. Very busy with queue but well managed and worth the short wait 5-10 mins

Had a casual lunch with the family... soup and sandwiches outdoors on the sea front.... absolutely delicious especially the chorizo and sweet corn soup (which I was wary of but loved!)
