Meal was outstanding - had the medallions of fillet steak - cooked to perfection - delicious. Staff polite, friendly and helpful. Special mention to Ben on his first night - very polite, well mannered and attentive young man. A busy restaurant but staff took time...to make sure our visit was special. Would definitely recommend without question - a little gem of a place that we look forward to visiting again......soon 😀More

Upon a friends recommendation we booked dinner in The Venue this bank holiday weekend. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and efficient Sarah who showed us to our table and set the high standard for the whole evening. The pub at the...front of this restaurant is small and intimate but opens out into a spacious and modern area at the back with beautiful views of the sea. The menu had something to suit all of us ( the mussels are particuarly delicious) and the food was beautifully presented. A special thank you to Arianna who looked after us so well and was a pleasure to chat to. We are already planning a return visit!More

Top notch customer service!!! I was only in for a bowl of soup! Felt like I was treated really well. Every single staff member engaged in a very professional and friendly manner. I mean this - all restaurants need to learn from the staff (and...obviously management) here. Exceptionally clean, great food, fabulous service. I’ll be back.More

We like to recognise what we're eating so Venue is our ideal: top quality traditional food, good variety, beautifully cooked and presented . We had seafood chowder then giant sea bass grilled with butter and herbs, seasonal veg, chips and potato wedges plus Irish Guinness...(of course.) Big portions! Welcoming, efficient staff, lots of happy local customers. Traditional pub is cosy, restaurant is spacious but warm in every sense with conservatory views of the sea. Book in advance especially in holiday season.More

When my wife and I arrived for lunch the place was clean and very good Covid requirements in use by the staff. The restaurant was almost empty but when we asked could we sit by the window for the nice view we were told that...there were larger tables by the window and we were put at a table for two in the corner. During the time we were there all the larger tables by the window remained empty, lost opportunity to engage with new customers who just moved to Sligo. The food was also disappointing, a little expensive compared to other local restaurants and not what I would have hoped for. I had a nice steak, however came with no veg just some rocket leaves and an extra charge for garlic potatoes. When I asked should there be veg the person responded to say no that’s just the way it comes. My wife had salmon but every mouthful was full of bones so did not finish her meal, again with no veg and extra charge for the garlic potatoes. Don’t usually leave a lower star review but hopefully this can be helpful for the restaurant to see the opportunity for some changes to improveMore

The food was great, the staff were friendly. Both the seafood and the steaks were spot on. Lovely place for just a drink too before or after your meal.

Really nice food and great service. Nice location , beautiful sunset. My partner had whole sea bass. She is very particular about seafood. She said it was really fresh. My fillet steak was cooked to perfection on a bed of champ.Would definitely recommend.

The food was excellent quality.. beautifully cooked on a open grill (just perfect for the fish and steak we had). The salmon cutlet was so fresh. Great Choice of restaurant for those looking for healthier options as a good selection to choose from and staff...will advise/ change sides to assist special diets. Beautiful view from window tables which we would request if we returned. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.. in fact one of the highlights in our 9 day / 3 location staycation... well done!More
