Was greeted by what seemed like the owner who welcomed us with a smile and showed us to our table. We were then looked after by a young waiter who was very friendly and took our order.I ordered the duo of pork and my husband ordered the beef and reef. The food came out and it was amazing!!My husband said his steak was like butter it was so tender and my pork was bursting with flavour.Conpliments to the chef. The service from start to end was immaculate and all protocols were being followed. Thank you again and will definitely be recommending this place!!

We had a lovely evening out last night eating at Regans Roscommon. We made a last minute Decision to switch our dinner plans to Regans after walking past the restaurant and noticing the warm cosy atmosphere inside. The owner accommodated us immediately even though we did not have a reservation and the restaurant was busy. The menu offered a great selection with something for all different food interests. The price was very reasonable too. We really enjoyed the quality of the food, the lemon roulade was to die for! What made the evening extra special was the customer service offered by all waiting staff, warm smiles and pleasant chat . As a group of friends this was our first experience in Regans and we all agreed we would definitely be back. We even noted the tables we would like to sit at next time when we will definitely make a reservation in advance. Thank you to the owner and waiting staff for a really lovely night.

Had a wonderful meal with our three adult children.
The food was excellent and great value. The service was efficient without being overbearing.
We would highly recommend Regans to anyone wishing to enjoy lovely food, perfectly cooked and served with a smile. We will be back.

I visited with the family and ordered ribs for starters, followed by a steak with garlic & herb butter sauce for main. The presentation of the ribs was great, however, they were overcooked and full of bones and gristle. The steak I ordered medium rare, what came was well-done, confirmed by one of the owners that it was well-done. They changed the steak, which then arrived when the rest of the family had almost finished their mains. Steak mark II was better, but in places it was very rare, not medium rare. The garlic & herb butter sauce was not a sauce at all, more of an oil dip! Garlic & herb butter placed in a small saucepan of a container with hot olive oil poured on top. If you tried to pour this 'sauce' all you got was hit olive oil - what a mess. The owner did offer an alternative 'sauce' citing that was how they did the sauce there. I declined an alternative, obviously their understanding of what a steak sauce should be is very different from mine.
No discount from the bill for the inconvenience of it all.
We will not be returning.

Ordered the chicken special. It was meant to be cajun breaded chicken with mushroom sauce chips and salad. Mushroom sauce never arrived instead we were given garlic mayo. The salad was just lettuce but the biggest disappointment was the chicken itself. To say that it was over cooked and dry is an understatement. It was dry to the point that I thought it would break teeth. Will never return.

My friend and I have returned to Regan's throughout our time settling back into Roscommon life post lockdown.
Each time we have attended the service has been exemplary and the quality of the experience really top notch.
The first time we attended we ordered the delicious baked cheese and the steak.
The cheese was delicious, but it's the steak that stole the show. Stunning.
The second time we knew we had to get the steak but we thought we'd try the scampi too. The scampi was cooked very well and well caramelised. Again the steak was excellent and packed with flavour.
The only thing that lets this place down a smidge is the lack of detail with their deserts. My crumble had a packet bought custard and my friends creme brûlée also had a 'pre packaged' vibe. Putting a bit more thought into these parts of the menu would seal the deal.
Despite that, I think Regan's deserve the packed out restaurant it seems to be having. The vibe in their *despite* covid restrictions was exciting and electric.
A total treat.

We visited Regan's today without a booking and they gave us a table despite being extreamly busy. I was worried that we may have been rushed but nothing could have be further from the truth. We were given ample time to eat. Now the food, it was in a word STUNNING, I had stuffed potato skins and a steak my wife had the chowder and salmon. All was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The staff were lovely and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble which is saying something given we have two young children and how busy the restaurant was. If you are in the area it is a must visit.

There was a time when you'd get off the bus in Roscommon and your first stop was Regan's, a family run pub, which was just one of the great pubs, if you wanted food you could have a good dinner. The bus doesn't stop outside Regan's now, if it did, you wouldn't be welcome to go in and have a drink and chat. It's a "gastro pub" now, whatever that is.
What it is average food at too high prices, served by staff who don't care in an unwelcoming sterile atmosphere.
This pub is an example of how to make things so much worse in the name of progress.

Had dinner for two on Friday night, and would happily both recommend and return ourselves if we are in Roscommon. The food was delicious, and we can especially recommend the Brie bites, wings, fish and lamb shanks as well as the lemon meringue and sticky toffee pudding. The Brie bites were the best we’ve had, the lamb shanks melted off the bone, and the sticky toffee pudding was just right - not cloying and overly sweet. The food was higher than than your average pub, and obviously not ‘frozen and brought in’. The service was warm and friendly, and we felt very welcome by the two young men and Ciara checking on our meals. It was noticeable that they’re part of the community when Ciara spotted a regular she hadn’t seen for a while. The outside seating, to take advantage of the lovely weather, was perfect for enjoying our Friday evening. We would certainly return again.

Dined here Saturday night with my husband. The Food,Atmosphere and Service was absolutely brilliant. We got greeted by the busy yet very attentive bar staff and the owner as we entered. We were brought to our table and our drinks order was taken.Them bar tenders must have been on rapid fire as our drinks arrived very fast and our lovely young server then took our order. When our food arrived it was absolutely lovely I got the lamb rump special (to die for) and my husband got the steak sandwich recommended by our waiter which he was too busy eating to ask about...must have been good. Our waiters were very attentive and always made sure that we were ok.The service I have to say was top class.Such a well ran family business and it’s evident! Thank you all for a lovely post lockdown feast 🙂

We called in here a few days ago while on a short break...and we are so glad we did. Everything about the place was insanely good. The staff were excellent, friendly and informative (they really knew/understood the menu), the overall ambience was cosy and the food.....the food was brilliant and absolutely value for money. This gastro-pub is a gem and is now on our 'Must Do' list. It needs to be on your's too.

Went to Regans after opening after lockdown. The food was amazing, I had the steak and my partner had the stir fry and it was all cooked to perfection. Got served by Aoife and the service was absolutely phenomenal. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again.
