Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been some time since I had lunch here. Service has certainly improved and Jodie gave us great service. Since my last review noticed Pint of Coors has gone up another 10c to (€5) not a big issue but prices have been creeping up since the...recession finished. Tried the special, Rack of Ribs in BBQ sauce (€11.95). Was very tasty not smothered in sauce and a nice amount of meat. Came with chips and coleslaw. My friend tried the Spanish Omelette (€10.95) which looked good and he said was very enjoyable. I might try the omelette the next time I am in. All in all a nice lunch.More

Tried here for lunch yesterday. Service was very slow and people who arrived after us got their meals first (never too impressed when I see that). I had ordered the special Chicken & Ham (€11.50) with Stuffing, Mash, Carrots & Roast Potato,Yummy. Ate everything except...the chichen bone. My golf buddy had a Cheese & Ham Panini (€9.50) which came with chips & salad. He said there was too much but he still finished the lot. Pint of lager €4.90 a bit expensive. All in all a good experience and I would certainly try there again for lunch if I was in the vicinity.More

Our last dinner in Ireland was spent at Taylors. It was a 20 minute walk from our hotel in a locals shopping area. They served a grand pint if Guinness and some of the best pub fare we ate during our vacation. I ate the...Irish need burger complete with a just spicy enough sauce, perfectly caramelized onions, and topped with a fried egg. This sandwich was a monster in size. I managed to eat about a third and was stuffed. All the flavors worked so well together. My husband ate the chicken carbonara and was equally happy. The portion sizes were ridiculously large and at more than fair pricing. Well worth leaving the beaten path to try out in Navan.More

I arranged to have my mums 60th dinner here in December (I couldn't find Taylors on Tripadvisor back then to do this review, maybe they were added recently). At the time, I explained to the manager (I think she was the manager) that we were...choosing between Taylor's and another venue but selected Taylors because we wanted to enjoy a band after the dinner, she said the bands were great. I was then told the choices we could have on a set menu. They sounded great & I made a selection (see pic). On the day of my mums birthday dinner, my sister went to Taylors early to decorate 'our area', she said the staff were very helpful. Later that night when we arrived we received a warm welcome. I spoke to the manager/lady again and she said our area was near but not too close to where the band would set up, so that was good. The menus Taylors had on the table included my mums name which was a lovely personal touch. The food & service was fantastic, so we were all in great form & really enjoying mums celebrations. After the meal I paid the bill & gave the manager/lady a generous tip. She came over to say goodbye when the restaurant food was finished and she was heading home. We all thanked her & she could see we were in great form. A short time later music started but it wasn't a band, it was a DJ (with music on a laptop). I was devastated. I asked another member of staff if the band was on after the DJ but I was told there was no band that night. I was shocked & gutted. This was the reason we chose Taylors and the manager/lady knew this when I was booking the meal. It was my mums 60th birthday, not just a regular night out, so it was important to us to have a band to enjoy after the meal. I couldn't believe it. At the very least we could have been told there was no band before the meal to allow us make another play for after, but this didn't happen. The DJ played boom boom boom music even though all the customers were from mid 30's-60's in age. Customers started to leave. I asked him to play more appropriate music for the target audience, he played a couple of decent songs & then went back to his boom, boom, boom music. So we left. This was a very disappointing experience and to be honest, breach of contract. Good food, but after how we were treated, I won't return.More

Called in for a meal and a couple of drinks on Monday evening and left satisfied. Got a nice welcome from the staff which is always a good start. The food, Guinness and service were excellent. The only glitch was the chips could have spent...another few minutes in the pan. Having said that we didn't leave many. Well done taylors.More

I have visited here when it was the Courtyard. The old lounge has been converted into the restaurant and looks really good with ample space between tables so you do not feel all on top of one another. There were several children present who were well...behaved and it is always great to see familys enjoying eating out together. We were shown to our seats immediately and our drinks order taken Coors Light €4.80 and glass of wine €5.60. I had decided on the Caesar Salad as starter but the waitress told my wife that the main courses are quite filling so we decided to share a portion of wings instead €6.90. The wings were done in a Piri Piri sauce and we both enjoyed them. For main course my wife had decided on Chicken Pasta €13.50 and she could not finish it. My main course was the Beef Burger which was a good size and came with bacon, fried egg, onion rings and chips €13.50 great value and I just about finished it. While I was finishing my wife was reading out the desserts to me but I was too full to avail of it this time. Perhaps the next time I will have a Main Course + Dessert. All in all a very good experience and we will be back soon.More
