We visited Kelly's on the way to Achill for an overnight stay. It is a small intimate place with pleasant décor. We were in a group of five and the staff were very welcoming. A younger member of our group had Irish stew with mashed potatoes while we had the soup of the day, served with fresh brown bread, and the cod with sweet potato fries. The others had the seafood showder and the crispy putog – a pudding with meat baked in it; both were quite satisfactory and the service was prompt. A modern destination restaurant in Newport.

We had lunch here yesterday, from the time we entered the restaurant we were greeted by very professional staff, contact tracing and excellent Covid procedures out of the way , we were shown a very extensive menu . We had salads and a black and white pudding sandwich, the food was fantastic followed by very nice coffee. This place is a gem..... makes stopping in Newport a must .....

Stopped here for lunch cycling from Achill to Westport. This is a clean and well run business. The food is delicious and not the usual mass produced stuff that's usually sold in similar cafes. Everyone really enjoyed their food here. Freshly sourced and homemade. A definite recommendation if in the area.

I have visited Kelly's kitchen a few times and bought some of their cakes that have no price displayed. When I paid as usual, the cashier held the credit card machine in a way that I could not see the price and only when she took it away again I could see that she had added €1 per cake. Her response when I asked her about it was, that it was right, and then complete silence. That was my last time at Kelly's Kitchen.

While in Mayo earlier this week, we had lunch here twice. On both occasions it was busy but we had only to wait about 10 minutes to get an outdoor table.
Everything about the place was top class. The staff were well trained, efficient and so friendly. The menu was full of interesting dishes, and everything we tried during our two visits was freshly prepared, well presented and so very tasty.
Overall i would count it as one of the best restaurants of its kind that I have experienced in Ireland.

Stopped off here while doing the Greenway, nice spot, very friendly staff, attentive and on point. Food was good, enjoyed the club sandwich and soup of the day, cake could have been fresher but it washed down well with a decent cup of tea.
Grand spot to stop off, would recommend.

This isn't the most enticing cafe at first glance but the food is fantastic and the staff are very professional and friendly. I had the lamb burger and chips. It was cooked to perfection and piping hot with tasty wedges. Reasonably priced and quick service. A great lunch option

Pop into Kelly's it's fabulous, clean, we'll run and reasonably priced.
There's a "specials" board which offers great choices along with the everyday selection.
We chose the Pork chop with Gratin Potatoes and Bok Choy, wow, so tasty!

On the advice of a random stranger in Westport we ended up here. What a wonderful cafe. Bright and cheerful both the cafe and the staff full of life and fun. The soup and bread were both delicious and as a coconut addict I loved the coconut slice too. Recommended Highly.

Dropped into Kelly's for a quick bite and it was amazing. Their vegetable soup was simply awesome. Whatever they put into it, just keep doing it as it was possibly the nicest soup I ever tasted in a restaurant. To stay alive medication has to be taken during the day with a snack and if I was living anywhere near Kelly's i would be there every day. We had other food as well but the soup was special. If ever I am back in that area, a visit again is a must. Well done.

Id be embarassed to say how frequently i visit for breakfast but i have to say it is the nicest full irish you will get anywhere. Definetely it will be hard to beat it. Shauna the owner is very pleasant as are the staff who are always extremely busy. Last week i sat outside most mornings with my dog and watched the world go by it was sheer bliss as the weather was exceptional

Being someone who likes to pre plan a few things to make the most of my travels, I found this place on here a few weeks ago! It was a well situated breakfast stop on route from Knock Airport to Bellmullet!
So glad I made the detour to stop here! Friendly, quick and efficient service. Excellent value for money and plentiful tasty portion sizes.
2 full Irish breakfasts with a big pot of tea for two less than 25 euros! And both white and black pudding with toast on the side and a Boxty! It puts many a full English breakfast to shame!!!

Lovely experience in this busy little spot, recommended today by a local. We had coffees and sticky toffee cake and another cake. The lunch items looked delicious too! Big decision! It was really lovely and 2 young ladies serving couldn't have been better. We sat outside as we had 2 dogs with us. Nice clean environment in a very well maintained town. Flowers in tubs etc. The cafe was good value - this is the experience people should get - not chainstore cafes without character.

Fabulous breakfast in Newport. We were looking for a quick brekkie before a drive to Achill Island and this was perfect. We both for the. Breakfast bap which was delicious. All the meat was from the butchers next door and tasted amazing. would recommend this for breakfast
