I took my family here from overseas and it was just lovely. They were extremely busy and they were so professional and accommodating to our large group. The food and tea was top notch. I can’t wait to go back when everything is back to...normal.More

We were enjoying a nice walk around lovely carlingford & stopped here for what we thought would be a nice relaxing break on entering a lady with a ponytail rushed out & greeted us with can you sanitise your hands no welcome or where would...you like to sit & then promptly told us to sit at a particular table.Gave us menus we chose a piece of cake each & hot chocolates to drink. The same lady returned with our cakes & drinks along with a young guy who was polite but the lady just promptly & abruptly almost slammed the items on to the table in front of us.We enjoyed the cake but think this particular member of staff really needs to improve on her customer service skills or rather LACK of them unfortunately we would not return or indeed recommend this establishment. We had been holidaying in the area for 2 weeks & this was the first & only time that we received an unfriendly welcome like this.More

Myself and my partner arrived here after a long cycle and looking for a coffee. The place was so lovely inside we decided to stay for lunch and were not disappointed. The tea sets are gorgeous and the decor is really quaint. The food was...absolutely excellent and the staff were super. There was a bit of a wait for the food but they were so busy and it was really worth the wait. I would highly recommend this place. It rounded off a perfect day in Carlingford.More

Had afternoon tea, love the loose tea. Also queued on Sunday for takeaway coffee and cakes and they were also amazing, great safety precautions in place, face coverings by all staff, even queue outside clearly marked for 2 metres. A lovely treat for lunch, coffee,...cakes etc. Will definitely be back when in the area...big queues to get in at weekend...you can see why!More

I sat inside - in the Victorian style" tea room. Displays of antique teapots and accessories were tastefully exhibited all around. An Old-style fireplace and "mantlepiece" were featured in my tearoom. Hygiene good; waitresses wore masks and antiseptic sprays were available inside all entrances. The...garden area, in sight of the sea, was particularly beautiful on the sunny day that I visited. This is a very popular restaurant/tea room and is always very busy! Expect to have to wait to be served. The staff were all very friendly; Amy, a University Student, with this summer waitress job, was talkative, interesting, and naturally friendly. She lives up in the hills overlooking Carlingford. Her University is in Galway (that I had visited with my wife three years ago) - so we had something in common to talk about. My "homemade" scone was fresh, having been baked around two hours before. Beautiful and tasty. The Cappuccino Coffee was "just as I like it"! The atmosphere was "unhurried" - just like a tearoom should be. (even though it was very busy). The garden "tearoom" was spacious - and overlooked the sea. Distancing was easy, with tables well spaced. It had a separate servery. It was very colourful (see photos). Even the toilets were "victorian themed" - and were most hygienic. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Highly recommended. Prices reasonable.More

Great tea! Antique tea pots and cups - old fashioned tea room and a nice little place to go to overall. Overlooking the sea you can even hear the waves crashing. Amazing food, and the sandwiches had a lot of filling and overall I would...definitely go again. My only complaint was that we waited a while to get in and get the bill and we were standing in the boiling sun! But that was because it is a nice place to go to and everyone wants to go.More

Misled by the reviews we were very excited to arrive. We waited for 15 mins for our order to be taken, then another 30 mins for it to arrive. Food was very poor, water on the plate from the poached eggs made all the rest...of the food swim in it. Bad experience unfortunatelyMore

Sorry only seeing this now - I guess you visited by now, but the in any event I couldn't answer your questions, except to say we found the prices reasonable, given that the quality was quite good.

It's a tea room, not a 5 star hotel. All the cakes and scones are homemade and delicious. In my opinion you would be very hard to please if you were disappointed.
