Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited here recently with part of 7 including some kids. Service was good, food was good. The main issue is value for what you pay for. The 8oz striploin is priced at EUR28 and the 12oz ribeye is EUR30. It doesnt come close to being...value for money. Meat was very average. Also EUR10.95 for kids main is steep for what you get. In addition the toilets were not clean. We were there at early evening and restaurant was empty to no reason for toilets to be in the state they were. Also it being that emply makes you think what are they doing wrong? The prices are insane for what you getMore

Great food, fantastic service. A great addition to Newbridge. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and lovely to chat to. The food was very tasty-great coffee and desserts too! I really hope this restaurant is well supported by the people of Newbridge and stays open. We’ll...definitely go again!More

First visit but was not disappointed, the food was delicious. Each course was presented beautifully and the service was prompt and attentive. This place is well worth a visit. Family friendly as they have a kids menu too!

First impression on arrival was that it looked nice inside, but no menu in the window to let you know what food is served or what price range it is. The tables for 2 people are tiny. I get they are this way to fit...more people into the restaurant, but when you can't fit everything on the table at the same time it defeats the purpose. We had to move everything out of the way when the food arrived. We were given a glass bottle of water for the table, it was tepid. Had to ask for ice. I'm not sure how difficult it is to store water in the fridge? I ordered a glass of wine which was fine. I ordered the chicken which came with seasonal veg and dauphinoise. I kid you not, I got one very slim carrot, one piece of asparagus and one piece of long stem broccoli!!! The plate was massive (as mentioned earlier) The food looked ridiculous on the plate. I've no problem with haute cuisine when the food I am eating deserves this title. But I had chicken and veg!! The chicken portion was the size of a satsuma. At least downsize your plate size so that it's not obvious you are ripping people off with the ridiculously tiny portions. The lack of good restaurants in Newbridge will probably mean that people will try No. 19 at least once. But I'm not sure people will be quick to return...We've tried it, but we wouldn't be in a rush to go back.More

Came here with my husband and three children under 10. No children’s menu available so they verbally listed the options for us without prices. DO NOT bring your children here unless you want to pay €8 for a small garlic bread and €13 for a...small child’s pasta with what tasted like tomato soup as a sauce that was supposed to be bolognese. We were shocked when the bill arrived and when we addressed the prices with staff we were told it was “an upmarket restaurant.” Have never paid so much for a kids meal (even in an upmarket restaurant). Sadly won’t be returningMore

The four of us (12 and 14 Yr old with parents) went here. We ordered chicken wings to share. Sauce was changed to suit us. Huge portions, lovely food. Kids altered their burgers waitress said no problem. Order was exact. Clive had steak. It was...nearly too big. I had sea bass. Too much, but absolutely perfect. I changed the sauce to pepper sauce, again, no problem. Wait staff checked if we were okay, but didn't hover. Food timing was perfect. Going back again. We love it. We go once a month.More

Recently visited No.19 for a relaxing mid-week meal. The Pil Pil prawns to start were extremely tasty and very fresh. The menu had a dish to suit everyone’s taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my entire visit to this lovely new restaurant...in Newbridge. I will definitely be eating here again.More

Went to No19 with my family for a meal. Service very slow and after 1h20 mins only had two courses served. Daughter’s starter forgotten which added to wait. We were about to ask for dessert menu when the waitress came over and put the bill...on the table and told us we had to leave as they needed table back! At no point had anyone advised us of a table time limit (and service was so slow we couldn’t have possibly been finished). Couldn’t believe they had been so rude as to basically throw us out halfway through our meal. Waitress said she was very sorry and we could stay ten more minutes if we wanted! Never had such an experience and treated as inferior to other customers. Wrote email to complain next day, the owner rang and said he would look into it, that was the last we ever heard. Clearly more interested in getting customers through the door than caring for ones sat at table. Service not good enough to try and turn tables.More

Brasserie 19 is a lovely restaurant and myself and my wife had a lovely evening. The food was amazing, while being reasonably priced. The staff even did a lovely embarrassing 'Happy Birthday' song for my wife. I will definitely be returning.
