What a find!!! Close to the whitewater centre you may have to wait but it is worth it
We had chicken wings and brusetta to start and 2 burgers as mains and the value is unbelievable for what you get. Staff are friendly and helpful
The only thing that put me off was that my sweet potato fries came with cheese which was not noted on the menu so I asked for them without cheese. The waiter took them back and came back with the same fries with the cheese scraped off which I could have done myself! I'll go back but just be careful to specify my order.

So,JRB's is renowned for fantastic food,for incredibly helpful & friendly staff & the most relaxing atmosphere whether you're with family, on a romantic night out or at a funtion. You simply can't go wrong!
But, during this pandemic, they have outdone even themselves by offering their customers an amazing choice of cooked, and "cook at home" take out, (which is an affordable treat)
Delivery through the QiQ App is prompt & efficient, cooked food arrives hot & fresh, our "cook at home" BBQ boxes arrived within 15mins!!!
If you haven't ordered from here....YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!

We tried this new menu last night as it is local to us , the food was delivered by a really nice guy on a motorcycle about half hour after we called . We had chicken wings for 2 people and a burger and chips . Food was piping hot when delivered and was delicious. Food was reasonable priced and we will definitely have it again , We’ll done Judge Roy Beans

Went here last night with my girlfriend. It was moderately busy. Mozzarella starter for me was nice-however gf got bruschetta and the bread was soggy and looked like it had been sitting there for some time before served. I ordered the salmon & prawn main which was ok only the salmon was overcooked and chewy. My gf's battered cod was underdone. The fish tasted floury and doughy. When that was sent back she asked for a caesar salad with no chicken. Got it with chicken on it and looked like a child put it together. I tried it and it was horrible. Similarly sent back without my gf having had a meal. Staff members on the floor were nonetheless courteous about complaints. Worst thing was seeing the chef walk around behind the bar wearing low slung jeans with boxers showing, no hat/hairnet and a scruffy uncovered beard wearing those uncovered lobe stretchers in his ears. Didn't pay for any of her food and rightly so...hadn't been here for some time and will never return here to eat. A restaurant I can only sum up as all fur coat...

We call in today 1st February for lunch b4 heading home after a visit to white water. You very friendly waiter showed us to our table, returned with drinks and took our orders. So far so good.
We both ordered fish & chips.
Unfortunately its wasn't good, so we decided to pay bill and leave. I told the waiter we couldn't eat our lunch and followed him to the bar. I presume it was a manager he was explaining the situation to, the waiter left to check our table to see did we actually not eat our meal returned to say we didn't and to be fair was very apologetic. That's fine but the manager stood with his back to me, a little bit of respect or courtesy to customers wouldn't go astray.

I brought the family out for a meal today for the first time since lockdown began in March, I was scared, nervous and anxious given the times we are in and what we are to expect to come.
When we we entered there were safety signage and sanitizer visible all over the public and private areas, not a single bottle was near empty and everyone was encouraged to use, the waiting team were all wearing PPE and not one of them seemed to be disappointed to be having to which made us feel very comfortable being there.
Having arrived early for our booking we were sure that we were going to have to wait for our table but we were wrong, clearly the system in place is working as the people who were on our table previously were well gone in time for our table to be sanitised and set for us.
We were sat at the table with menus and we were not waiting long to order, not long after ordering our drinks arrived and soon after all our food came to us hot and juicy. The young waitress taking care of us was very polite and professional in her words and actions for the duration of our visit addressing the children of the group aswell as the adults, she had no problem checking if we were enjoying or food ready to rectify any issues that could have arised (there were none) making our experience a pleasurable one.
From start to finish we could not fault a single thing.

We ordered food and had it delivered by JRB’s. Food was excellent and enjoyed by all. Delivery was on time (you can specify the time). Delivery was done within guidelines and was a real treat for the weekend in these strange times. JRB’s and their sponsors are also to be praised for the great community effort they are making delivering meals to the elderly.

All protocols were adhered to, social distancing; contact-tracing procedure was in place, staff professionally dressed with facemasks and meals and drinks served efficiently with good customer relations by staff. I would like to recommend a shrimp starter that was not frozen but fresh amazing.
A lot of bad press at the moment with some pubs, here’s a property who has it right, well done to the Management and staff, a lot of thought gone into your opening to ensure staff and customers are as safe as we can be. Looking forward to my next visit soon

Absolutely love the food and atmosphere in JRBs my favourite has to be the...... Everything don't think I've ever not enjoyed a meal there. But they have Excelled within the community in these trying times they have now added collection and delivery service and how do they kick it off only by giving meals to 100+ elderly in the town.... completely FREE..it was lovely to know they had all been looked after for the evening and knowing the quality of food would be fantastic.
Can't wait to go back in to show our support but til then takeout is next on my books 😁

The food here is just shocking! Chef had no hair cover or beard cover. Disgusting starter of what they call ‘boneless chicken wings’ which I had a ‘hot’ sauce on - it just tasted like hot salt it was so bad and my chicken burger to follow was in the same sauce couldn’t eat it. We made an excuse paid our bill and left - my partner said the Cole slaw tasted like sewerage! I would have complained expect for the two girls that served us were lovely, friendly and very apologetic for dirty cutlery. They were the best thing about our visit.

Ordered a veg burger €14 and coke €2.90 for 200 mls. The burger is the same one from Aldi 4 for €1.50. Over fried in a bun double the size. Chips were rotten cutlery dirty and the glasses were all water marked. My friend ordered Mac and cheese kids portion but they gave her an adult portion after taking two mouthfuls out comes the dish she ordered and they quickly take the dish she was eating and change it without asking. Shocking service. Another table complained he was waiting half hour for the bill. My daughter ordered kids burger and fries. Only ate some of the burger. I could not eat the food. Staff never eaten asked was everything ok just take your money. This is possibly the worst place I’ve eaten in. Shocking and surprised it even still open.

Called in without a reservation with my mum and the manager kindly found us table to have a bite to eat. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and all staff and management were taking the new safely guidelines very seriously (disinfecting tables, areas, menus frequently, all continuously wearing masks and track and trace details taken for all tables). Felt very comfortable in there and everybody was social distancing.

The young waitress with black hair was okay, did what she she could but it was clear they were understaffed and unprepared for the 20 customers they had. Partner ordered chicken burger. Cannot complain.moist and looked great. I myself had blue steak.. Or did I? First steak I got was medium.... The second one after instructing the waiter to tell chef how to cook ( chef 21 years) was cooked perfect although it was not seasoned. The pepper sauce was thickened with cornflour... Do I look like marty mcfly? Is this 1985? No... Overall staff lovley food meh

thank you for taking the time to review Judge Roy Beans. On the evening of your visit I was made aware there was a gentleman on table 7 with a complaint about a steak. Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to get to you personally as we were extremely busy, but your server informed me the issue had be dealt with immediately. We review all feedback whether good or bad and work hard to improve our operation daily. Although the steak was not up to your standard I can assure you I stand over the quality, skill and hard work from all the team, including of course the engine room of the operation our kitchen. We don't always get it 100% right, but as I'm sure as chef yourself you will understand this does happen. I have discussed your complaint with our Sous chef and he was a little disappointed to hear you felt the replacement steak was not seasoned , as he assures me every steak leaving our kitchen is. I hope you will return to JRB's in the future and allow us to show you the overall consistent quality our team of highly trained chefs are capable of.

So so impressed by our fabulous family dinner experience this week. Felt safe but yet comfortable & relaxed . Staff were professional very attentive & well trained The foods was Devine we had hot wings / ribs /tacos / potatoes skins for sharing starters so tasty !! Mains was a mix of thr cowboy steak , SFC hot sauce chicken burger / nachos & pasta !! Highly recommend we’ll defo he back we’ll done JRBS keep it up 👍

Very poor quality food. I order the southern fried chicken burger and it was very dry and over cooked. My partner ordered the chicken ceased salad, overall it tasted very sour and the salad was very soggy. Will not be returning again for a meal
