Made an in promto stop in to O'Neills on a Sunday evening with my partner and had a lovely meal and drinks. The staff are lovely, very accommodating and the atmosphere was great. The outdoor area out the back was lovely and comfortable. Will definitely...be back!More

Great to see O'Neills open again post lockdown. Greeted on arrival & shown to our table, the staff at Oneills make all customers feel welcome & safe . Fabulous menu to suit most , Our party of 4 choose the filet steak on a hot...plate served with onions & mushrooms & a portion of fries . All steaks cooked as requested . Undoubtedly the best steak in town . Great choice of wines , beer & Guinness is top class . The staff at Oneills are simply fantastic, 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥂More
We had had a drink in O'Neill's previously and as it seemed to be a well-run establishment with friendly staff, we decided to try it for dinner. The food was good e.g. lovely light batter on my fish and chips made from real potatoes. The...drinks were also good but the coffee was terrible - perhaps they need to invest in a new coffee machine. The service wasn't great either. It was really slow and it was a battle to get the attention of the staff throughout our meal. In fairness, they were busy, so perhaps we just got them on a bad night. Prices are similar to the other pubs in Maynooth.More
Myself and my sister decided to head to O'Neills for lunch. During these strange times it's that bit harder to decide off the cuff where to go or if you even feel like leaving the house for something that could be deemed unnecessary! We felt...that O'Neills seemed like a good space to be able to comply with the new measures put on place due to the pandemic. It's safe to say we had a great time, the tables were nicely spread out, staff were friendly but kept their distance whilst wearing PPE gear. The food was lovely, we weren't sure what we wanted so ended up sharing most of the starters which inadvertently created a tapas style meal. The bill was reasonable considering we had the more expensive wine, a great meal and finished off our visit with some gin. We would happily return for another meal out in O'Neills.More
Really great to see O'Neills back open . Interior very well spaced out , customer safety well respected. Great menu to suit all tastes , best steaks in town , fab fish & chips . Great selection of wine . Staff very welcomming & very...well trained . Easy to see why O'Neills is so popular . Booking recomended . Definetly one for the short list .More
We were here on business and I wanted to experience an authentic Irish pub. O'Neill's was definitely what we were looking for! Such a great atmosphere, incredible food (we had the sirloin), and reasonably priced (cheap!!) Guinness and draft beer prices. I highly recommend this...place to anybody!More
Just jumped in because of the storm, stayed for a while boys got a bite and I had the scampi. Server was very nice, polite and prompt (Brey, I think) very sweet with the boys. As always decent grub, efficient service and a nice break...in any day. Thanks as ever.More
Called in Christmas eve without booking and luckily managed to get a table. Good, varied menu and extremely good value for money. Would always recommend.
We ate dinner here our last night of a three week vacation to Ireland. At this point in the trip, we had the pleasure of quite a variety of meals at many restaurants. O’Neills was a short walk from our hotel so it was convenient....We use Tripadvisor to create a short list and then strolled around the area before deciding on O’Neills. Our service was friendly and without delay. Food choice was ok and our dinners were both good. O’Neills is a pub style restaurant, relaxing and good for a quick dinner of comfort food. We enjoyed our dinner and recommend this establishment if you are in the area.More
Unlike most other eateries in Maynooth on a Sunday afternoon, O'Neills, whilst having a good crowd in for food, having drinks and watching sport on TV, there were still plenty of free tables available in a warm & cosy environment. A good range of choices...offered, especially for a Sunday menu. The specials were salmon, mash & veg and a pork fillet steak with whiskey sauce, also served with potatoes and veg. My partner said the pork was delicious. I had scampi, tartare sauce with homecut chips & salad, also very tasty. Service for both bar and restaurant was prompt, efficient & friendly, so well done to all.More
ONeills is one of Maynooth's most popular bars . Great food , broad menu . Always serves great fish & chips . Their chicken stir fry is superb . Staff are always friendly & attentive
Had a steak sandwich. It always a turn off for a customer when the food comes out quickly. That’s exactly what happened here and the proof was in the pudding so to speak.... Lacked flavour and the meat was tough and dry. Chips ok. The...place was not busy yet we felt rushed. In the time it took to look out the window... my plate had been swiped and my napkin too. Training needed here. Let your customers enjoy what they paid for...More
