Through candlelight, he works at night to keep the locals full. They want more bread, they're out of red, another pint to pull. Our special dish is pan fried fish, served with potatoes new. Some capers green, cannellini beans, it displeases very few. All dressed...in black, he checks out back for a white from Transylvania. They must be pleased, demands appeased, for I am Eannamania.More

I came to Maynooth at the weekend for a quick bite to eat. I cannot get over how amazing the experience in Picaderos was. From the warm welcome at the door to the service to the food. All amazing. A wonderfully unique experience. The manager...Eanna runs a brilliant place and I will indeed be back.More

Booked on March 16 for Saturday March 26 at 8pm. Got an email notification saying slot was only available at 8.30pm. I rang and confirmed. I had also made a booking at Donatello's as a standby option. They insisted I had to choose one so...I chose Picaderos nd Donatello's was cancelled. When my friend and I turned up at the restaurant on Saturday, March 26 at 8.30pm, it was closed. No one had emailed or called me to notify me - and yes, I checked my spam. My friend and I walked up and down Min street trying to find somewhere to eat. It was awful.More

Hi Radhika; Sincere apologies, it was a very difficult situation to manage over the past week as we suddenly had a high number of staff sick with confirmed covid-19. We had to make a quick and difficult (but correct) decision to shut down the business...More

Myself , my partner and my 4 year old daughter have become regulars here, visiting twice a week for the last month. Everything about this place is incredible. Firstly the food. The choices are endless and cater for anyone's taste. Everything is cooked to a...5* standard and the staff couldn't do enough in regards to tweaking certain meals if needed. I have a different dish Everything I go and I haven't been disappointed yet. Even the little touches, such as drawing a smiley face in smarties on my daughters dessert are such lovely touches. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, candlelit and quaint and really makes you relax as soon as you enter the door. But most importantly I think is the way you are treated by the staff. You can tell every one that works here loves their job and it shines through with the service. You are always made to feel welcome and that nothing is too much to ask. Now when we go, they remember our names, our drinks and my daughter food. They chat to you like your old friends and even brought a few exotic items, such as new fruits out of the kitchen for us all to try. If my daughter is looking a little bored they will come over and entertain her, give her and order pad and pen to play with or just chat with her. Extra special thank you to Chloe, Becky and Peter for making every visit amazing!More

Went on a Friday evening, we were seated very quickly as servers were extremely busy and no time for chit-chat (there's a lot of seating and the place was totally full). What was nice - tiger prawns skewers, pimientos de padrón, pulled pork "Carnitas" tacos...were very nice. Chicken and chorizo skewers were ok. The recommended wine was very nice The real letdown was the Argentinean ‘Asado’ style ‘Striploin’ Steak - I paid 29 euro for a chewy, flavourless piece of meat (I don't think it was seasoned). I'm no masterchef, but I cook my own striploins at home and they taste much better than what I was served I think the menu is too far too large, it must be very difficult in the kitchen to keep the standard high with all those choices. They could cut it in half easily. During the evening the servers were so busy trying to keep up with orders they kept dropping plates and cutlery I felt bad for them because they were just trying to keep up. But once things calmed down a bit we were enjoying ourselves. The servers were very nice when we had a moment to talk to them. And they replaced our table water without asking multiple times during the evening - bonus points! I'm sure we'll be back, but probably not for a whileMore
