After driving the Sky Road we had to stop for what else? Seafood. Not only was the service friendly, and the drinks cold…this was THE BEST seafood I’ve ever had!!! I had the Hake with Cream RedPepper Sauce over Ratatouille. The fish came out very...fresh and flaky, but more than that the ratatouille was also fresh and perfectly seasoned. The Red Pepper cream was the perfect compliment to the meal and I was in Heaven! It was served with a side of steamed veg and even those were fresh and well seasoned!! Is this place worth a stop? Hell Yes!!!More

We were a large group of 10 and from the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel so welcome! Food was of a consistently high standard across the weekend as was the superb service and attention that we received from Patrick,...Simon, Jenny & Noel. They accommodated all of our changes to the menu and our last minute reservation changes. Superbly warm welcome so much so that we returned on several occasions. Would highly recommendMore

Ate here a couple of times after an Easter break, rain or shine, made to feel very welcome, an Irish welcome - which I believe is on the decline. Great food, a 'good' pint of the black stuff, great customer service, banter, and check ahead...but live music!More

My family is American, but we are currently living in the Netherlands after living in Italy for three years. We have done a lot of traveling. A lot. I feel that background is necessary to truly illustrate the quality of this review. From the moment...we walked through the door until the moment we left, we had a fabulous experience here. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to check that everything was as expected. We all had yummy food: tasty fish and chips, spicy wings (with a legit Buffalo wing taste that had been difficult to find throughout Europe, so that was really appreciated), lamb, burger, and salmon. Veldons has it all. The Irish workers are charming in a way that just isn’t present in Dublin or the super touristy spots. The food is Irish and very tasty and fresh. We loved it and would happily return if life allows.More

Found the Seafarer in Letterfrack most welcoming on an unseasonable early April wet Tuesday. Lovely busy atmosphere with quick efficient service. Had a lovely toasted ham hock sandwich and an excellent chowder. Highly recommended for anyone travelling between Clifden and Lenane

Stopped at Veldons today with my Hubbie & 3 children, the food was lovely and staff were lovely , we asked to sit on the quieter side due to the place being busy and that was not an issue . Food was fabulous, fish &...chips, open prawn sandwiches & goujons & chips and fabulous desserts . Well worth a visit if in Letterfrack .More

In need of refreshment & Food we spotted Veldons which was lucky for us. The restaurant was busy & had a great vibe. Despite being busy the staff were friendly & very attentive with a lovely sense of Irish humour & charm. The food was...extremely tasty & well presented & very reasonable priced. A little Gem of a find.More
