Right in the middle of Ballinasloe is The Bread Basket, a bakery and restaurant with good food, and service with a smile. They service an all day breakfast and a selection of meals to suit locals and visitors alike. It is situated right beside the statue of the horse.

Me, my wife and my daughter were in Ballinasloe and we saw the bread basket. we decided to go in and have some food in there. The staff were very welcoming and nice. It was busy but they tried to get us seated as soon as possible. After we got seated we ordered. My daughter had the Shepards pie which she said was delicious. My wife and I had the battered cod and the vegetable soup both were very nice especially the home made bread that came with the soup. Afterwards we had a fruit scone and a chocolate muffin with a cappuccino and a tea. The owner Martina came over to check on us and we had a chat with her she was so nice and very friendly and as we looked around the place everyone seamed to be enjoying their food. We will defiantly be coming back again and would recommend this to anyone looking for real Irish food

We ordered a large catering order from The Bread Basket (sandwiches, scones, pastries for 100 people) and couldn't be happier with food and service. Martina was wonderful in suggesting suitable foods for our set up, and they were all ready to collect fresh on the morning of the event. It was all very good value too which was appreciated as we were on a small budget. The sandwiches had great variety (catered for dietary requirements too), and the pastries and scones were delicious. If I am in the area again myself I'll definitely be visiting, and would highly recommend them for catering.

You can’t really complain about the value for money. Half a roast lunch was a huge portion, but on a plate far too small to fit. My doors was spilling off the sides. The food was nice enough, just needed a little more finesse.

Omg i had a omelette that was perfectly cooked and beautiful brown bread.
As it should at the right the young lady asked me politely was everything ok and it was.
I went uo to pay and informed manager and owner about the lovely girl that served me.i then bought more bakery products and brown bread and asked for it sliced.
Not knowing they didnt have a slicer.But the young lad said nothing and physical cut the whole brown bread.
We should qll appreciate those that serve us and give a tip which i did

Whilst looking for a quick snack , we looked in TA for a recommendation, and it didn’t let us down .
Amazing service with attentive staff , honestly couldn’t do enough for us . Food was great and quick ( toastie and chips) . Well presented and hot . Definitely a must if you’re nearby and hungry . Will be back next time we’re in Ireland .

Been to this cafe lots of times keep coming back, friendly staff family ran cafe, great food reasonably priced, will visit again totally recommend if in Balinasloe.

We stopped by for lunch on our way to Clifden. Small place but cozy and welcoming. The food was good and the portions generous. Extremely kind and very efficient staff

Delightful little, local cafe. Very friendly staff and generous portions.
We called by at lunchtime, and although the place was busy with tourists and locals, the service was prompt and cheerful.

We popped in for lunch here on the way to Galway from Dublin. We received generous portions and a generous welcome. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were great. Thank you!

Service was poor.I bought a very expensive tastless christmas cake which I regret buying as i had lots of visitors and I am afraid i still have the cake and will not be returning
