I brought 12 adults & 4 children to lunch on 18/12/2016 & we had a marvellous time. The food was excellent as was the ambience with Christmas tree plus decorations. Staff were friendly & service was very good even for the large group.

We have popped into the Moycarn for dinner on more than one occasion and it is by far the nicest place for evening meals in the Ballinasloe area. The last time we went, we brought a friend of ours and his young daughter with us that were visiting from Dublin for a night. After a day in the playground the... More

The food here was some of the blandest I've ever (not) tasted. This was not helped by the poor quality steak...at top quality prices. The place was practically empty meaning atmosphere was non-existent. The staff member we encountered was, however, very friendly and the only reason I haven't given one star.

This restaurant is well located in a nice quiet location but yet only 3 minutes drive from the galway -Dublin motorway. However when we called in on a Sunday evening at 7.45 we were told very clinically that we were too late for food service. We drove on about 20 kms further and had an enjoyable pub meal elsewhere. Would... More

The restaurant is located by the river. I have had lunch here a number of times and the food is very good. Plenty of choice on the menu. Extremely family friendly and such a nice friendly/welcoming atmosphere when you walk in the door. I would recommend eating 'al fresco' in good weather.

Situated outside Ballinasloe the hotel is is a quiet spot on the river, a great place to have an out door drink after Sunday lunch. Lumite. Menu, but what they have is well done. The staff are very, very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Great atmosphere, the regulars are as friendly as the staff.

Stayed at the Moycarn Lodge recently for four nights during a visit to the area with friends to visit their family, we found the hotel really comfortable in a nice spot at the side of the River, the breakfast was great. Unfortunately we did not get to eat in the restaurant but the food looked great, hopefully we can get back... More
