This is the perfect chipper! It's in a great location just opposite the port and open sea. I don't eat fish as I'm a vegetarian but the rest of my party was really impressed with the taste and freshness of the fish served, hardly surprising...More

This is a lovely quaint restaurant with a simple menu and the food on offer is just exquisite. The best fish and chips I've ever had. This is a must visit when in Killybegs.

Wanted fresh fish and chips in killybegs and that's what we got. Wonderful calamari and hake and chips. Diner setting and take away but the food was very tasty. Would happily return here.

I have been here a couple of times now and the food is excellent and not as expensive as other places. The burger and peppered sauce is very nice. Staff are friendly and you don't have to wait long for your meal. It's clean and...More

Perfect for locally caught fish n chips. Love the tea. Plus they do have non-dairy milk... yippeeeee. True tho the toilets could use some care more often e.g toilet roll, cleaning emptying overflowing bin.... but hey look past that.. the fish is amazing.

Take away is cheaper than sit in by a good bit. Expensive enough to eat fish and chips in but one serving of chips will do two people.

Not a fancy place, just good food. I had seafood chowder five times in Ireland on this trip, and Mellie's was the best. The breaded fish and chips was top notch also. The service was good and friendly.....good recommendations by our server. Not a leisurely...More

If you order the fish and chips, you should consider sharing unless you have a huge appetite. A more functional restaurant rather than loaded with rustic charm, the food is excellent. The seafood chowder was very good and had a slight tomato taste.

I thought the place was ok until I visited the men's toilet,to my horror there was a toilet roll sitting on top of the cistern with poo marks over it, I wonder what the hygiene rating is for the place
