JP the owner was a great host and met all our requests with a smile. The food was great, the service was great and from upstairs you get a great view of the harbour.

Great harbor side pub with wide selection of beer, whiskey, lovely coffees. Great burgers and other pub food. Friendly staff, pub games and fireplace.
Meeting JP English who's family is a bit of a local sailing dynasty was truly an honor. I was in town on Business in Cork and found Crosshaven by private boat tour. I had a coffee and Bailey's. If you're seeking nice people, local food,...a fire and some good Irish hydration - this place won't disappoint.More
Treated like royalty. The view from the upstairs dining room is awesome. The barman was extremely friendly and informative about the time he lived in USA. Will definitely return here again and wouldn't hesitate to visit again. We even signed the oar!
Called into the Oar as we were visiting Crosshaven for Cork week regatta. What a lovely welcome, cheerful staff. Interesting decor, huge variety of drinks on offer and wait ., we had delicious fresh mussels and lobster , what a surprise. Well worth a visit.
We went to The Oar as part of our boat excursion and had an amazing day!! We got to pour our own beer and learned about the area from the owner, who could not have been nicer! It felt like you were in a living...room of an old friend and cannot wait to return!! Thank you for a great day with our families!More
I had the opportunity to call into The Oar pub yesterday and received a great friendly welcome, nice bit of chat but not too much. Lovely spot, great views. The bonus was that every Tuesday, when you buy your first pint, you get your second...one FREE, great excuse to call in!!More
Lovely pub grub and very reasonably priced . Good variety. Would highly recommend if visiting crosshaven.
Visited with a bunch of friends after a day on the water. JP organised a BBQ for us upstairs in a private room. Great spot over looking the harbour and the food was lovely. Loads of burgers, sausages, chicken wings, baked potatoes, salads etc. JP...couldn't have been a better host. I believe there is pool and darts downstairs in the main bar but we had a private room so can't comment on that but what we had was great. Thanks JP.More
Visited Crosshaven to stay with friends over New Year. Used the Oar bar as a local bar as we were staying at the harbour. What a lovely place. Staff attentive and made sure we were warm and comfortable each visit. The snack baskets provided (free)...were great and made the kids happy! Views amazing. Looking forward to visiting in the summer to experience the outdoor area.More
