Expensive with mixed service. Food is good but portions aren’t very big and price is pretty high. No tea or coffee included with breakfast which is unusual. Service seems to depend on who you get, some staff are sound and really good at their job,...others less so and definitely one quite rude lady there. I’ve eaten there twice in last 2 weeks and definitely a mixed bag. Lovely location and when it’s good it’s really good, shame about the value and occasionally the service.More

Food was very nice and staff were very kind and very professional .. 5* service. Well done. However, I gave 3* for value. I got 2 average fishcakes + a little salad on the side + some small potatoes on the side + one coke....All this for €18 !! Fairly expensive. It is not the French Riviera or Lake Garda...More

The waitresses working there are all extremely kind, caring and always ready to help. Since I am a vegetarian who can’t have dairy either, I wasn‘t too happy at first when I saw the menu. When I asked for dry pasta the waitress offered me...a dairy free sauce that wasn’t on the menu, just made for me. Tasty glutenfree options are available as well. Overall, the food was incredibly delicious! I couldn‘t recommend this place enough!More

This is a lovely cafe/restaurant set in a great location. I really like it but had a couple of issues at my most recent visit. There were 5 of us having lunch. The tables are far too small for that many people and we weren’t...allowed to put two tables together so it was a bit of a squash. Secondly, it would be great if there was a brunch menu and if the child’s menu was a bit more child friendly. There were limited options if you didn’t fancy lunch yet and not much for a child who eats plain food. The service was very good though.More

We were a table of 5 and all of us really enjoyed our pasta lunch, sitting outside in the September sun. Waitress was lovely and friendly too. Definitely recommend this place.

My and family and I have been coming to the River End Cafe for years now and it's as fantastic today as it was when I first went there over 10 years ago. The menu for breakfast and lunch is great, with a healthy ingredients,...generous portions and always presented impeccably. The staff are very hard working, provide excellent customer service and above all in my opinion; are friendly and chatty to all their customers. The location of the cafe is excellent, especially when the weather is kind and you can sit outside. It would be great if they could add a small extension to cater for a bit more space inside and to add a few more tables as it can be hard to get a table when times are busy. Overall; well worth a visit for breafast, lunch or even a nice coffee and some cake. Continued success to the owner and her staff.More

Visited Rivers End Cafe today for lunch. It was very busy so we returned an hour later to find a beautiful table outside waiting for us. The view was amazing. It was difficult picking lunch from the menu as there were so many dishes we...wanted to try! The seafood chowder and the chicken and chorizo salad were amazing. Very good, friendly service. Would definitely recommend and will look forward to visiting again when we are next in the area. Would enjoy working my way through the menu.More

This is a small busy cosy cafe and getting a table can be difficult particularly if you are a large group. The seating is quirky and makes the best of the space available. Some people may feel a little cramped but the setting with the...sea view is nice. We have found the service to be pleasant and friendly. The food is fresh, cakes and tarts are really nice and the coffee is good. This is a good stop if in Crosshaven and there is ample public parking close by.More
