Visited this little gem on the Saturday 7th of August. My husband had a fish supper with the most divine homemade tartar sauce, the kids had chicken goujons and chips and i had a John burger with bacon and cheese and some lovely fresh chips. The wait time was very reasonable considering how busy it was, and the staff were very nice, especially the waitress who brought our food to us was so kind and helpful with the kids demands! Would recommend to anyone, especially families as there is a big garden with a sea view.

What a terrific surprise to come across Skinny’s Diner. Two weeks in Ireland and not a single fish and chip dinner beside the sea, and then we found Skinny’s. Not only was it a mostly gluten free menu, but the offerings were delicious! The fish was generous and beautifully crisp and the chips melted in the mouth.
We’ll be back for sure!

We called in here yesterday (Thursday) as it was lashing down and they had a lovely marquee with views of the sea. Nicest chicken wrap I've ever had, and my husband really enjoyed his fresh hake and chips. Lovely little find on the last day of our East Cork staycation. Really friendly young staff, very accommodating and helpful. Reccomend. Garden for kids if it wasn't so wet!

Must concede had no idea what I’d be getting when we dined at Skinny’s, the cheeseburgers however were exceptional - great value, very quick and top quality burger. Would easily hold up against Corks better burgers I.e Bunsen/KC’s cheeseburgers. Lovely friendly staff and on a nice day stunning views and location. Make sure to try and hope everyone’s experience was as great as a mine

We've visited east Cork several times this month, have been back here each time. Lovely, safe, socially distanced sea view seating area at the rear. The staff are friendly and really seem to like their jobs, very helpful & polite. The food is a 'cut above' the average chip shop, the burgers, sausages and chips are great. Try the peas! Just the place for that 'salty fish & chips' taste at the seaside!

Delicious food. A long wait. But worth it. Chicken goujons were a bit disappointing but the fish was fresh and 11€ for fish chips and mushy peas was great value as there was enough for 2!

We had heard and read amazing reviews about skinny’s. So we said we would try it out when we visited Ballycotton. Staff were friendly and service was quick, only 10 min wait. Chips were ok, best way to describe them was crispy. We got burgers which we all agreed were divine. There is a garden which you can eat in but us to being parked in front of a house and could get any proper parking that we were sure was ok to stay while we ate we brought ours back to our accommodation 5 mins drive away.
Not much option in Ballycotton to eat in and parking is very limited.
Skinny’s would be easily missed when passing by in the car. So if your planning a visit, keep your eyes peeled.

I came to get some food on the go and ordered a chicken wrap with slaw and spicy sauce and put it in my pocket. Only later did I try it -- divine. This place has a cook shack feel like Malibu in California. It's casual, friendly, relaxed. A nice vibe, like a surfer hangout. The food is cooked right in front of you, fresh. I will head there again next time I'm in beautiful Ballycotton.

Turns out there’s not much choice in Ballycotton early in the week. However, if you want (or are left with) fish and chips, I highly recommend. Fresh, crisp, full of flavour and great chips. And friendly helpful service too.

After a walk called for Fish & Chips and chicken & Chips. We were asked if wanted a takeaway or if we wanted to sit in the garden overlooking the sea. It was a beautiful setting. When the food arrived it was perfect. Hard to beat it on a beautiful autumn evening. We will be back.

This is a real little gem and my find of the year!,My daughter and I are both coeliac and normally chipper food is a no go for us, but Skinny’s was beyond expectations.
She had a kids meal GF chicken gougons and chips as did the three other kids with us. My husband and I had the GF fish special of the day. It was so good my husband didn’t realise his was GF. Great value.. a lite bit of a wait but given the que well worth it in my opinion. If your in the area coeliac or not well worth a visit. Make sure to check out the garden down the side, plenty seats to enjoy your meal and fabulous view across to Garryvoe.

Excellent fish and chips. Place was fairly busy and is easy to see why. Seems to be run by 5 young friend but don't let this put you off.

Lovely setting, excellent food, no faults. Six of us ate outside in beautiful surroundings. Good quality and tasty food in a safe location.
