Rang Cush on Sunday at 12.45pm to enquire about food in the bar,the very helpful person who answered explained about the menu choices but to my own regret I did not ask about times. The website gives an opening time of 12. On arrival at...2.20 we were to told to check in re. Covid in the restaurant area which we did and explained that we were hoping to eat. On returning to the bar,I ordered two drinks and we sat at a table.....for 30 minutes waiting for the drink and then overheard a staff member telling another couple that they had stopped serving food at 2.30. The drinks having not arrived we left....a strange experienceMore

Wee spent a lovely weekend at CUSH in Ballycotton. Room 5 was spacious and clean with a veiw of the lighthouse. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious both nights we had the set menu on the first night which was great value and ordered a...la carte the second night We were very well looked after in the bar by Ciarán who could not have been more helpful Our only disappointment would be breakfast, the choice was limited with full Irish or granola available, on the second morning my wife requested 2 hard boiled eggs, and they were unable to accommodate her request. This did not spoil our stay by any means and look forward to returning soonMore

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal at Cush. The scallops, monkfish and chocolate dessert were our favourites although everything was delicious. We cant wait to come back for more. Thank you for a lovely experience!

One of the best meals I ever had! Friendly staff, cozy decoration and excellent service. Meals served like a 2 stars Michelin level, with the dishes beautifully made to feed the eyes and the soul! Amazing experience. Definitely coming back!

For our stopover on the way from Dublin southwards Cush at Ballycotton was just the perfect choice. A lovely place with cosy rooms including seaview and a very nice breakfast. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the combination of the dishes super.

My wife and I visited on a wet Thursday night. First impressions were good…friendly staff, warm dining room, with a view of the sea. We chose from the a la carte menu. Meal overall was very nice, a fine dining experience but a few things...left it down. 1. Food was warm, not hot. 2. Sides were not great. Potatoes in skins did not present well. Charred cabbage is not fine dining, imho. It needs to improve for us to make a return visit. On a positive note, the set menu at €36 looks very good value.More

We went for a drink and ended tasted the delicious food of the restaurant. If you want to visit East Cork make a detour to visit Ballycotton. We love this end of the world and the great vie in an island that a lighthouse dominate....Then if you are hungry, stop by at Cush. We have tasted tg scallops and the cured salmon. Both dishes served as a starter made us enjoy even more our trip to the place. The scallops were snacked and well cooked and the salmon was well prepared. All that was served with a side salad based on water cresson and with brown bread. Tasty, well prepared and surprisingly beautifully assembled that made our drink first intention a gourmet moment. Thank you Cush team!More

If you’re looking for a special night out, I’d recommend Cush highly. We brought my parents to celebrate my dad’s 75th and wanted a special night. Cush met and exceeded our expectations. Visually, the view of Ballycotton island, coupled with great art and nice decor...works really well. I chose cured salmon for a starter, scallops for main, and delicious macaroons for desert. All truly scrumptious - but I’m going to give special mention to the sides. I’ve never eaten roasted cabbage before and now I’m ruined for having it any other way! Delicious! Friendly, kind, helpful staff who are also ready to have a bit of craic. Totally covid compliant but in such a laidback way, we forgot about it. Actually that’s why I’d recommend Cush so highly. It was like stepping out of everything thats going out in the world for a couple of hours. Exactly what I wanted for our special night out.More
