With a commitment to serve righteous food prepared with tasty sauces and spices, this is a go to mid day retreat. They have a vast menu of Mexican [Ark-Mex] dishes. The chips and homemade salsa are what one should expect from a good Mexican restaurant and the place to start. There are open 7 days a week from 10 am-2:30... More

Let's just say right off the bat I have never had bad Mexican food. We usually pop in here on our yearly trip to Eureka as it's a short walk from were we stay. Close to all downtown shops/bars. Staff are always very pleasant and getting a table has never been a problem even on Saturday nights as it's pretty... More

Came here from a friend's recommendation. That salsa verde deserves its great reputation. Had the bison enchiladas, loved 'em. Found out later that you can take home some salsa verde so might have to stop by again!

Hidden, but good Ark-Mex vegetarian-type fare. Fantastic tomatillo-based Salsa Verde - call ahead and they'll sell you a quart for later. I had portabello & spinach enchiladas - delicious!

We have come here a couple of times now. They have great vegetarian options. Our only qualm was the size of the house salad. It was itty bitty! :P

I've been going to The Oasis since 1999 (excepting for period between closure of old location) and love it love it love it! Now I'm not that easy to please and even more so once you get over 5$ so I'm a cheap skate too! I've been pretty disappointed with some other local restaurants that were MUCH more expensive and... This place is a tiny hole in the wall, a little cramped, and a little hard to find. The food was very good, but the service could have been better. Lots of people were getting their orders to go. Maybe we need to try that next time.

Wow is right! I love Mexican food & the Oasis is the place to get that flavor, but with a twist! Everything is made to order & is FRESH! The service is great (Ask for Nancy). A good variety of items, the atmosphere is charming/quaint, & it's easy to find! Look for the chalk signs on the sidewalk! They have... More

Best salsa in the known universe -- hands down. This place takes cash only -- kinda puzzling, but there you have it. (Be prepared when you go in.) A waitress named Nancy was especially kind to us, and gave us all kinds of great local info. The steps outside are steep, and probably best avoided during icy weather. (Don't worry,... More
