Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great tasting warm buns directly from the oven. Wide selection of teas, but unfortunately only one kind of coffee which was a bit too light roasted. I would have hoped for more savory bites for breakfast

A cozy little cafe in an old charming villa with a small garden. Fresh and good filter coffee, no special coffees. Very affordable prices. In connection with Alan’s cafe, there is also an artisan shop worth a visit as well and a great way to...support local artisans 🧡More

We were walking along Hanko beach and looking for a place to have some coffee. Luckily we found this spot hidden on the backyard of a local house. The prices were almost cheap considering the quality and taste. Both salty and sweet pastries were delicious...and the terrace in the garden comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommended.More

Cafe is bit hidden on the back side of the old villa. There is the sign on the wall but it's located on the corner of the square. Backyard serves as an sunny outdoor terrace with rough wooden furniture. Rough theme continues inside there is...small desk and small handicraft shop also. Bakeries are mainly made onsite and are delicious. Tea selection was also good. Price level was very modest. Recommended to go for home made bakeries. With welcoming price you can take even two!More

I did read that Alan’s Cafe Hanko is a must place to go for a cup of good coffee and it was! The place is like home with huge book shelves and big backyard, but one thing was missing. I love latté but they don’t...have coffee machine in Alan’s to make special coffees. Prosecco was excellent :DMore

Hidden in an inner courtyard there's this little gem of a cosy cafe. Had the best Brita cake ever, complete with coffee from rosy grandma cups. The prices are also a joy.

We have been loyal customers to Alan’s cafe since it opened. Mikaela, Petra and Gun-Maj make the place like second home; good coffee, home-baked, always happy faces! Very popular place among locals as well as visitors. We highly recommend!

One hidden Gem is Alan's café, later often called Orrman's café. You can buy your plain coffee, tea or drinks and eat home made cakes or sandwiches. There is an antiquarian book shop attached to it and a shop for handicrafts made by local artisans....Definitely wort a visit all year round. Prices are reasonable.More

The cheapest Cafe in Hanko, hidden in the town centre in a large, old house with a small garden. Alan's Cafe is open every day and has a variety of fresh pulla and pastries, filter coffee and a salad bar. Cosy inside featuring a nice,...seaside-themed gift shop and friendly staff. We love Alan's Cafe.More
