Don't go! The place is a mess. I was supposed to have boiled potatoes with smoked salmon. The potatoes were heated in the microwave, my friend's potatoes were cold. The fish was too salty and the coke I ordered was a leftover from the bottle...opened 2 weeks ago... tasted awful and besides it was warm.More
Service is non professional and not wellcoming. We did not stay to eat because of that. The place is great and used to come here every summer but unfortunatelly will not come again.
I was really disappointed and so were my friends. It’s not at all what it used to be before. The vibe of a “Fishermens place” is long gone, the waiters are not service minded and the food at best average. For the price of a...main (around 26-29 euro) you can honestly won’t get anything in return. It’s sad to realise that this place has fallen to the same category as so many others here — fleecing the tourists during summer and not caring about the food, service or ambience. Will definitely not go again, nor take friends there (except for walks to the small boat harbour area, which still is nice).More
We had 3 different plates; fishburger, ceasar sallad, pfeffar steak and they where all good. Service was fast, about 15 minutes from order. The service staff are very friendly and professionals. They have a fish table too, it looked good but we did not choose...it as we wanted table service. Big terraces available for eaters too.More
I ordered a vege burger, which was bad and really expensive. The bun was cold and dry, the "beef" tasted strange and even the goat cheese did not save the portion. And why did they put barbecue spice to the french fries?? My friend had...flat fish that was terrible salty. The service was ok, though. But we will never again visit this restaurant.More

Not sure what has happened to this place. Few years back I visited the restaurant couple of times and wrote a review about how great the food, atmosphere & service was. Well not anymore. We ordered 4 portions, 3 of them were just disappointing and...one (smoked flatfish) was inedible as it was super salty. Service also wasn’t awesome - no reaction to our complaint about the fish. The quality of food is so much worse than last year. We ate the famous salmon soup, but it tasted horrible. No gluten free bread. The coffee tasted old. So sad, this has been our go-to-place for years.
Even though the place is famous, the food was terrible and the service was really rude. And then two from our group got upset stomach.. Can't recommend going to this place.
We had a light lunch in the cafeteria my wife had salmon soup that was terrible. Only probably ready made diced potatoes very few pieces of salmon thrown in a soup of milk or cream. I had gravad salmom that was old and returned it...and the service was arrogant. Went to check on the restaurant seafood buffeet for the future which was filled with flies and the waiter was also very arrogant ! We had a wonderful late Sunday afternoon lunch at Pä Kroken. There was seating available inside and outside on the terrace. We chose to sit outdoors as it was a warm Sunday in late August. We actually arrived to the restaurant about 90 min prior...to closing time. Our waitress advised that the full menu was not available, but there were three items available to choose from the list. In addition to this the seafood buffet was of course available. This is why we came to På Kroken. All four of us chose the buffet. The buffet was plentyfull with prawns, different salmon, white fish and more. Plenty of salads, few cheeses, boiled eggs, boiled potatoes and dark so tasty bread. So many choices and all tasty. Sitting and eating outside was great, enjoying the view to the ocean and boat marina. Will visit soon again for sure.More
I read about Hanko, cause I was going there and I did check the restaurants. That’s how I found restaurant På Kroken. I also heard that they’ve cafeteria there where U can by their excellent products. I love a good fish so I decided to...test it. Their “lämminsavu” warm smoked salmon is so good I could eat a kilo..next time I will :^)More
The salmon soup usually is good with bread and butter. This time there were not enough of soup and they had to cook more. It was worth to wait.
