One small woman was there to greet us, wait on us, and cook our meal. We had delicious frozen lemonade and a pine apple smoothie. The plate with chicken, rice, beans, salad, egg, and plantains was delicious!

We stopped here on route to Arsenal and it didn't disappoint. Fresh food, lovely service and great art on walls. Highly recommend

Delicious food of an excellent quality and at a fair price, it is a nice place and ideal to eat with your partner or family.

Casa Delagua has changed hands with dizzying speed, so it's hard to predict what one will find there.

We stopped in at Casa Delagua with out reading any reviews. We were on our way to the La Fortuna area after being on the coast at the RIU Beach Resort. We were so pleased with the service and the food. Anyone that gives a...bad review is probably forgetting where they are. While we were waiting on our food she told us we could walk around the property, which we did and we saw some amazing views of the Arenal Lake. The service was a wee bit slow but there were 2 people working and there were 9 meals to prepare for our party and nothing is pre made. You aren't at a fast food restaurant. And we were in no hurry. Everything was very fresh and colorful as you can see by the photos. The owner Dona doesn't speak super great English but we were able to communicate just fine. We ordered several plates of Casado, chicken and rice, and the tortilla with cheese that are made fresh by hand upon order. Nothing is pre made. We really enjoyed eating here we knew that we were contributing to the family's business and love finding out of the box places to ear. The prices were very reasonable, in USD the Casado plate was around $6, and tortillas with cheese(cooked in) were $2.12 and the chicken Rice was $4.53. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the neighborhood.More

Prices and service were amazing, thank you for being open, we really were questioning if there were any restaurants on the lake!

We saw good reviews and this was near our hotel so we stopped for lunch but we were sorely disappointed. The service was okay and they were friendly, but the food was not only too tough to chew but it wasn't even what we ordered....And all this was after they confirmed the order after the order was made and they had already been cooking it forever. Any good reviews of this restaurant are not accurate or they changed ownership or something else has happened. All I know is I would not stop and waste your time nor your money.More

We stopped here for lunch on our way from Monteverde to the Arenal volcano. We have eaten at several roadside sodas and cafes on this trip and two previous trips to Costa Rica. I can say without hesitation that Casa Delagua has been the best....The food is a fantastic example of authentic or "typical" Costa Rican cuisine. The hosts are extremely friendly and gracious. We sat on the patio drank our cervesas, enjoyed the food and watched birds playing in the trees across the road. Highly recommended if you are passing by.More

Living in the area, I can advise Trip Advisor community that this restaurant is under new owners. It now appears to be typical Costa Rican food. The signage is in Spanish.
