Would highly recommend, we are currently on a staycation in Galway and had food and drinks in the Dalgan tonight. It was incredibly covid friendly, the staff couldn't have been nicer but best of all, the food was sensational.
Booked a table and had to increase numbers last minute. Hazel who assisted us booking the table and also served us on the night. Couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.
Food and service were both excellent. We all enjoyed our time as we were...passing by.
A lovely little spot. Would highly recommend a visit.More
We visited Dalgan with family earlier month. Prior to arriving I had a few queries regarding seating and menus but communication was prompt and extremely helpful. We had a vegan in our party and his needs were catered for really well. The menu was great,...lots of choice and there was not one single complaint when we had finished. The food portions were generous and they tasted amazing. (I personally recommend the beef barbacoa and the Thai Chicken Curry). They also make some cracking cocktails 🍹 Staff are welcoming and attentive and service was really good. The restaurant has enough space to allow for social distancing and we all felt safe and relaxed, it was lovely! Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟More
Had a gorgeous dinner in Dalgans, 2 adults and 2 children (8), staff were extremely friendly and professional and food was delicious. We were visiting the area so delighted to find this great bar. Very child friendly as well.
While its now under new management and have updated their menu they have got it right.
My wife had salmon and I had a steak. Both were done exactly as requested (salmon was moist and the steak cooked rear). The selection of vegetable were good....Overall a lot of food. I'd highly recommend it.
A point of constructive feedback to the management.... I always like to see a "smaller" menu selection..... helps to concentrate on quality.
As usual the staff were very present.
I'm defiantly going back and I'd highly recommend it.More
During these days of Covid-19 we had a stay-cation family holiday close to Ballyhoos which was central enough for us to visit Galway, Westport, Strandhill and a little further Achill Island.
When we were passing through Ballyhaunis we spotted this restaurant. Looking at the menu...it looked like what we would like and the value seemed great as well.
We were socially distanced correctly, all precautions taken with hand sanitiser etc, staff were very friendly & professional, respectful of social distance with PPE on as required. Seeing the tables been cleaned and Menu's sanitised relaxed us to enjoy our evening.
We had an outstanding meal, food was excellent and very good value for money.
We were so happy overall food, service, hygiene that we booked for another two evenings during our local stay.
I would recommend this restaurant should you find yourself close to or in Ballyhaunis.More
