We were lured by the Canyon Star's attachment to a seemingly nice hotel and a very well-appointed dining room. However, you will quickly learn that while the prices are high and reservations are generally required, there is NOTHING about the service or the food that deserves the very high price you pay to eat there. It took 20 minutes just... More

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner on New Year Eve 2016. I ordered The Ultimate T-bone steak and Tiramisu for dessert! Both of them were super delicious! The steak was well grilled, perfectly median rare as I wanted. Both of us loved the food! However, the service was very slow! We waited a long time for... More

The food here is very yummy, the only thing I didn't enjoy was the ribs. The breakfast Buffett is tasty and fresh. Our favorite dish for dinner is the lobster ravioli. The service is not always the best but they try hard. Desserts are my least favorite, they come pre-made and always seem to be served semi-frozen, not a very... More

Although many of the reviews are resoundingly negative, this place is actually pretty good. A good place to saddle up, you'll have to see it to know what I mean. The loaf of bread they serve is the best bread I have had in a long time. The food in the restaurant was very good. Our Swordfish were perfectly cooked... More

Very bad service at this place, the waiting times for food is excessive, we waited nearly 2 hours to get hour food. Additionally, its very expensive and staff is not friendly. Will not recommend this place.

I only ate breakfast buffet here, it's a bit pricey but the coffee is good and there is a pretty good selection.

My title says it all. This eatery is in the Grand Hotel in Tusayan. The first night there we had a small take out order from the Canyon Star bar where you could get appetizers, finger food, light fare like a burger, etc; second night we went to the Canyon Star dining room ... not much better. Had a burger... More

The food and service were excellent. They had a guy on stage singing and playing guitar, he was okay. The price of a steak was way overpriced.

Rarely do I agree with others that give bad reviews, but this place was an exception. We read the reviews and were hesitant but we were staying at the hotel and didn't feel like driving. We ate in the saloon section. The saloon menu is limited but we were not looking for a 3 course meal, just some basic grub... More

The menu is somewhat limited. While they say. They will accommodate a diet,if fact this means they will leave off the item you don' t want but not substitute or prepare any dish different from the menu. Vegetarian . Don't bother to go in Only a salad available. For our party, they did not bring one item ordered, charged for 2... More

Both the restaurant and the adjacent saloon at the Grand Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona bring that old time southwestern sensibility to life with exposed timber, stone, ironwork and decor that's influenced by the area. The restaurant serves steaks, great barbeque dishes, Southwest-inspired foods and traditional western-themed fare.
