There's not a whole lot of choice in San Pedro and the Lonely Planet guided us to Cafe La Puerta. We had delicious nachos and it was great value.

Cafe La Puerta is a lovely place to enjoy a nice lunch in San Pedro! The entire restaurant is situated outdoors and the tables are scattered among a beautiful and tranquil garden setting with lots of lush green vegetation everywhere. Their menu offers a great selection of fresh and healthy meals including international dishes as well as local Mayan specialties.... More

I ate here many times during my stay in San Pedro, and the food was always good. La Puerta offers Mayan dishes and the place is very clean.

We had a lovely breakfast here. The granola was the best I've ever had, clearly homemade. My husband had the tipico breakfast which he said we the best one he has had. They take great care and thought on how the food is presented. Also recommend the mint tea which comes in a large teapot.

I'd heard great things about Cafe La Puerta, from friends whose judgement I trust. I went there first for breakfast. Waited over ten minutes for someone to bring a menu, or even show up. Went to the counter, no one around. Figured something must be up with the staff and took my leave. Came back a few days later for... More

It was great coming back to Cafe La Puerta and enjoy the delicious food and wonderful service offered in this San Pedro La Laguna establishment. We will be back Santos and Blake so have our Diosa Verde cocktails ready!
