Curt is a very friendly guy and very knowledgeable of the area and things to do. And his fish taco is great! He goes and gets the fish fresh almost every day and you can taste it! I recommend this restaurant to all!

Best place to eat for the value in Drake Bay. Really good food, lots of it, friendly folks. The fish portion $10 could easily feed three. Where else can you eat for $3.30 each?

Unfortunately, he sells protected fish. No go! (Food is delicious, though. And Curt is always good for a chat)

Ate here twice during our three days in Drake Bay. For 20$, more fresh fish than is possible for two people to eat. Great boozy smoothies.

Sadly the fish served to us was not fresh at all. We eat fish regularly, mostly we cook it and never had a fish with such a bad smell and taste. It had a strong smell and taste of ammonium (NH3). I'm sure this is a lonely case of bad luck, but we feel like to discourage you to come... More

I was absolutely devastated to read this review. There is a lot of work that goes into offering same-day caught fish and I take my business very seriously. The fish that you had is called Wahoo and was caught in the large ocean current found between Drake Bay and Cano Island. It was brought to my restaurant by a local... More

Definitely a restaurant you want to experience. Small restaurant so swing by and make a reservation. The catch of the day is well prepared and yummy. Curt is very helpful and willing to provide information if asked. Overall a very nice evening.

Came highly recommended and deservedly so. Small place with mostly communal table but the vibe is good so no problem sharing tables if you are just a couple. Only 3 items on menu, 2 fish and one vegetarian I believe. Surprisingly this is actually a concept that works well! We were not that hungry and shared the large fish tacos,... More

Great hospitality and even better food! Menu only has three courses, the fish tacos worth a flight and a long drive! Fresh fish make the dish not less than amazing! I will definitely be back here again!

Gringo Curt's Seafood & Visitor Center was established June 2010 and our menu has not changed to date. We have pride in our small menu because it assures that we can provide freshness throughout the year by purchasing fruits, vegetables and fresh fish daily. There are many benefits to having same day caught fish but one downside is that we cannot guarantee a time that we can open. If we have fish at 12pm, we open. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to your visit Pura Vida!
