We were looking for some tasty Mediterranean lunch and there it was, right in the name: Tasty Kabob! With a not-easy-to-please wife, and an easily distracted toddler into the bargain, we found a charming oasis on the patio, and a menu so full of delectable options that all were satisfied. Recommend the dough ("doo")-- a yogurt-based beverage with a distinctive,... More

We have been eating at this restaurant since I was about 10. We've continued through a total of two owners. We took our entire family here for my Mother's 84th birthday. Homa worked with me to create a menu with all of our favorites and she even served it all "family style" which made it even better. We have NEVER... More

As a solo traveler to Tempe recently, I enjoyed two delicious meals in this friendly, mom-and-pop neighborhood restaurant serving thoughtfully prepared Persian (or what some of us know as “Lebanese/Mediterranean”) cuisine. The restaurant is in the ASU neighborhood and surrounded by a lot of “Turkish” or “gyro” places, but this one is a real restaurant, unlike most of the others... More

I liked the food here, I didn't love it. I did love the atmosphere. It was easy to settle in and the tables were spaced well for wonderful conversation. Kabobs are the thing. The server was forthcoming and patient as he answered our questions. We chose to share a dinner of steak kabob and ground beef kabob. Our half-serving was... More

I've been trying to give this place second chances for so long because of the rude, mean owner as their food used to be good but this was the last straw. This time even the food was burnt and dry and when we tried to talk to the owner she said that that's how it's supposed to be as if... More

There were 5 of us and we started with the combo appetizer plate. When it first arrived I didn't think it would be enough, but it sure was. There was hummus, tabouli, stuffed grape leaves, eggplant borani, pita slices, feta cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers, and it was all very tasty. For the entree I ordered the chicken kebabs. The kebabs... More

This is a great mom and pop, restaurant. The owners are always there and the food quality and taste are second to none. Pita Jungle was next door, and I could never figure out why those people wasted their money on food that was just fair when you could have excellent food. The lamb shank is great, the chicken kabob... More

My favorite is the lamb shish kabob. They do have outdoor seating. Make sure you try the saffron ice cream for desert.

Got a recommendation for that restaurant from a local Tempe work colleague. The place was a little deserted (only 4 tables were occupied when we arrived), but as we could not careless for the atmosphere we baldly sat in one of the tables and eagerly waited to the menu. Yes, the service is okay - I can understand why it... More

We've been to Tasty Kabob, a small strip mall restaurant in Tempe owned by a Persian couple, twice recently. First with a party of four, then we brought a group of ten - everyone enjoyed both the experience and the food. Homa, co-owner works the front of the house and is very personable, while her husband cooks and occasionally comes... More
