The place is huge, metal rock and smooth jazz weave a grounding atmosphere in this large, rough-and-ready industrial interior. The smell of coffee is present, but somewhat out of reach as you approach the counter, along with the other devotees of this local.... More

That coffee company that has a store on every corner needs to sit up and take note that you can roast your beans to full-bodied perfection without getting that burned flavor! This coffee is so rich and deep, I actually crave it, and I have never craved any coffee house coffee before this. The interior is wonderfully rugged and packed... More

Good coffee, with a university vibe. If you are not a student or feverishly typing on a computer the place can be a bit off putting. It's what you'd expect given the location and area, so you can't fault them for that. Check it out.

One of the neatest coffee shops I've ever been in. Great ambiance and the smell of great coffee hits you before you even walk through the door. Great variety and great service.

Phoenix had only a few coffee shops and Cartel was a standout. The coffee was great and the service was on point. The prices are a little high, but given the quality, it was reasonable. I wish they had a wider range of pastries though.
