We heard about Elote and decided to try it. Twice we got there and were told of a 1 hour 45 minute wait, so we figured , let's go early on a weeknight. We get there at 5:15 and it's still a 90 minute wait. We rarely drink but the pomegranate margaritas and popcorn made the time go faster. The... More

I frequently plan trips around the location of great restaurants, for example I was in Maryland once and made a special overnight trip to Philadelphia to eat at Morimotos restaurant. I have also studied cooking on my own and taken cooking classes. So... Believe me when I tell you not to miss this restaurant. Ignore people who give it bad... More

This place has some of the best southwestern food I have tasted. Well worth the wait. Nice and well informed staff. Very attentive. This place has to be chef owned.

It is an eccentric process to get a table. No reservations. You get in a long line to get your name on the list. You are then told the wait exceeds an hour. We walked down the street for a margarita nearby and returned in an hour. Once seated, we were all blown away. We had the elote dip and... More

If you want to get seated when the restaurant opens you need to arrive by 4:15 pm. The food and drinks are worth the wait. The chile rellano is unusual but delicious and the chicken enchiladas are exquisite. The portion sizes are ample and the food was delicious. This is one restaurant you want to try when visiting Sedona.

Eating at Elote Cafe is an experience. Arrive, wait in line to put your name in, move to the bar line, order a tasty cocktail, grab a bowl of popcorn, have a seat on the porch, maybe play some corn hole, and then have some of the best Mexican food you can imagine. We arrived with our party of four... More

Outstanding Mexican-inspired dishes with layered, complex flavors. The "elote" (corn) appetizer is not to be missed! The smoked pork cheek entree brought a new meaning to 'perfect dish". We were told there'd be a 1-hour wait on a Tuesday night and they were right but the blood-orange margarita with free popcorn while waiting made us very happy. Do not miss... More

We arrived about 4:45 and were lucky enough to get the last two seats at the bar, otherwise we would have had an hour wait. The bartender was also our waiter. He was attentive and provided excellent service despite the fact that he was mixing drinks for the entire restaurant. He was amazing, never stopped moving. Food was delicious.

Trying to get in this place is a little crazy. They don't take reservations and when they open at 5 the line is deep. We arrived at about 515 and we stood in line for about 30 minutes before we even put our name in. Then the wait was 75 minutes. I think we actually waited about an hour. You... More
