We go here every vacation for the cranberry walnut bread - it is so very good. The coffee is ok but this bread is the BOMB! Somehow I will have to live a whole year before I can get this bread again...
As previous reviewers stated, the staff person was not wearing a mask. Our food arrived in good time but definitely was swimming in grease. They had a bunch of delectable looking pastries but we did not partake. You order at the counter & they bring...the food to you.More
The workers didn’t wear gloves while preparing food. The man making my sandwich saw me eyeing him and he used a glove to pick up my bread off the slicer, but then moved it to his ungloved hand right in front of me. Also no...one working was wearing a mask. I threw my food away without eating because it is not safe.More
I stopped in here again on my most recent visit to Sedona only to find AGAIN people behind the counter and in the kitchen not wearing masks. I stopped for a loaf of bread and questioned the woman behind the counter why she was not...wearing a mask. Her response was " It's not required and it's my personal choice"! And my response was "And it's my choice to walk out of here and never come back"....and that's what I did. There are other places to get coffee, bakery items and bread!!More
Great name, poor health measures. I should have turned around when I noticed no mask on lady at counter as well as cook. I really should have spent my money on a place that cares about the current world wide pandemic. I ordered a turkey...sandwich, it was fine, absolutely nothing special. I also had the “pear mint” salad. It was soaking in a half a cup of strong salad dressing. Had hard pears along with marinated red peppers, yet no mint. The cannoli looked good, but after first bite discovered it was clearly made a few days ago.
- not COVID conscious
- to go items served in styrofoam
- menu was written in comic sans font
I hope they make some changes to accommodate the world we now live in.More
This has been one of my favorites for the many years I have been coming to Sedona. However, this trip I have to change how I feel about it. Let me explain...
I was in town for a week, staying nearby. Went for breakfast one...morning. Everything was fine, food was good, Sat outside. People behind the counter were masked up. Didn't see the "cook".
Went a second time for a late breakfast to pick up some bread. Ladies behind the counter were not masked and the "cook" had no apron, no mask and no hairnet on his greasy hair. I walked out!!
Last morning in Sedona, I stopped for coffee before hitting the road. Again, same ladies behind the counter...no masks...same condition with the "cook". While standing in line I conversed with person in front of me and the person behind me. The woman in front noted the no masks and left. I referred the man behind me to the cafe back down the road and he left.....so did I!
These people need to clean up their act and be consistent and adherent to the CDC and State guidelines.More
Typically I’m not one to take the time to write a poor review, but so many things were wrong. Walking in, the kitchen is so dusty with stuff packed everywhere. The cook didn’t wear gloves or a mask, and his hair hung loose over the...grill. At one point my friend even said she saw him eat eggs off the grill bare-handed. The waitress was super friendly but it didn’t make up for the nagging sense of “Whelp, I’m gettin sick today”.More
Not adhering to health and safety standards. We stopped here in the morning on our way to slide rock. There was a line of patrons out the door, all with masks. We were surprised and sad to see the woman taking orders and serving food...was not wearing a mask. We wanted to support local but this business is not just by not helping to slow the spread of the virus- selfish indeed. We left.More
