This place is a small, out of the way restaurant on 12th Street in Phoenix a little north of McDowell. Because it's in a residential neighborhood it's easy to miss. The food was pretty good however there really isn't a lot of options so I found it a bit frustrating. They are very friendly there and if you are looking... More

This place is located on 12th St., N of McDowell in a residential type area where you wouldn't normally see a restaurant. It's attached to another restaurant, "The Tuft", both once a house and owned by the same person. The Astor House BBQ consists of St. Louis style ribs cooked with a rub on and smoked with mesquite. The meat... More

I purchased a Groupon for this restaurant and am so thankful I did. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect. I had the turkey sandwich, which was exceptionally moist and flavorful. My boyfriend had the pulled pork, which he thought was great. The coleslaw was yummy as was the macaroni and cheese. Will definitely be back to try the other... More

Had a coupon to visit and I was looking forward to a new BBQ place. Ordered the 1/2 rack pork, mac & cheese side (no taters available) and butter cake dessert with beverage - $20.00 one person. The mac & cheese was cold so you know what that is like...the ribs were absolutely bland; its like they didn't even add... More

Located in the historic Coronado district, this place serves up great BBQ and adult libations (albeit limited in offerings but how often do you see PBR on a menu??) in a quaint atmosphere. Simple, laid-back décor, with some mid-century modern thrown in to pay homage to the neighborhood. In an old house so you could easily miss it if you... More

I was in the mood for some Ribs. I was in downtown and the closest one I'd known about shut down... Google sent me to Astor House, next door (and owned by) the Tuck Shop. Seems it's been recent since this has been a counter service bbq joint, but WOW, they serve up the goods... Fast and no frills. The... More

Just finished a sunday brunch at Astor House in the Coronado Historic District in Phoenix. Neatly designed repurposing on the round about at 12th St and Oak. The menu changes each day. Today I had a Tomato Cassarole with a baked egg on top. Others in our party had quiches, nutella or berry crepes. Simple arrangement, you order at the... More
