My first time trying Honey Bears and I'm impressed. I got the honey sandwich and it was real good. The sauce is real good too. I will come back to try more...

Had brisket for lunch. I don't eat buns usually so I ate just the meat. Marginal at best, lots of fat, tasteless and the bun which I didn't eat was like a wonderbread sandwich. Waste of time and money.

My husband and I visited this establishment on the recommendation from AAA in our travel book. This was your typical roadside dive that usually proves to be a nice surprise. BUT we were disappointed instead! They did serve generous portions but what makes a great BBQ is the sauce. This sauce was not thick and had a "wang" to it... More

Pork sandwich was smoky clean and tasty. Sauce is Memphis style and pretty sweet. Mac and cheese was excellent. Plus they have RC on fountain. I was passing through on business but was very satisfied except for the few flys that buzzed around.

Well I had a pulled pork sandwich and collards. The collards were great the pork was good but the sauce was boring. No spicy sauce in the house. Kinda spartan not bad just not great. I would go back, not a bad place just average.

Returning to the Van Buren Honey Bears is like a pilgrimage for me. For years I've told friends that some of the best bbq sauce could be found in Phoenix of all places. So I looked forward to my lunch yesterday after a couple of years being away. Given my reverence for this bastion of Tennessee bbq, I will only... More

If you like BBQ, you will love Honey Bears. Nothing fancy except the food. Great lunch place for out of towers on their way to the airport.

On the way home from Phoenix Zoo stopped for lunch. The food is so good, large portions, took home and had lunch the next day also. The ribs are the best I ever had and the sauce is heaven. The sides are large also, I chose the mac n cheese and red potato salad and they kept well. Must try... More

Instead of Mexican food, try this BBQ joint; very close to Heard Museum; nothing too fancy, but very good Southern BBQ; we also tried the Mac and Cheese side. It was delicious! Not too creamy. Real cheese they used. They also added a tint of coarse black pepper to give it a good kick. We loved it!
