I was recommended this place and wasn't at all disappointed which was good as it was my last night in Ecuador. Food was great, I had a grilled fish with rice and veg but the sauce with it was proper yummy. The owner asked me for some tunes to play so I started with Stray Cat Strut by the Stray... More

Nice casual place to go have a beer and sandwich. I tried the Poboy and Pale Ale. Both were excellent. Maria is an excellent waitress. Friendly, big smile and excellent service.

Stray Dog actually does have the unusual of all kinds — from all over the world interesting international sorts sit at the bar, chilling from an active day. Popular for the beer selections and the cocktails with easy access in the centre of town. Always a good place to met up with friends and new friends. Fresh clean delicious dishes... More

This place is amazing. I was worn out after a successful summit bit of Chimborazo and went to Baños to chill out for a week. I ended up in this pub a few days in a row hanging out with Jason the owner and the ladies behind the bar, as well as the assortment of visitors on any given night... More

Best food in banos by far. Shrimp poboy tastes just like home. Pulled pork sandwich unbelievable. The owner Jason is from the states and is very hands on. Great drinks and service *****

With all respect, the bartender offered to replace it, I went ahead and drank it, he advised it was very tough to get fresh hops here. The place looks nice, and it is handy! I went down the street for dinner and a few more beers!

Popped in here to get a fix of some craft beers (can only drink so much Club / Pilsener in Ecuador). Owner let me sample a few different beers before I decided on an IPA I liked. Prices seem on par for craft beer in Banos.

We found this place just by walking around Banos on our first night there and gave it a try. It did not disappoint, as it has a Great selection of craft beer, and tasty bites especially if you were like us and craving American food after 3 weeks down south haha. Awesome atmosphere and and super friendly staff!

You will enjoy the many beer choices available here and a menu to chose terrific meals. The owner, originally from Chicago, opens his doors every day around 4 pm. He and his staff are very welcoming. Getting there is easy as it is in the center of Banos. Enjoy the interesting, eclectic decorum. Make The Stray Dog a daily stop... More

Quite a nice little pub in banos. But it is very expensive by any standards. $5 a beer I would think is the dearest pint in town. The food menu looked expensive too No prices on the beer menu on the wall either is a bit of a cod
