The location of this restaurant is definitely out of the way. We took a cruise into Ushuaia and it was over an hours drive. But it was through the Tierra del Fuego so it was a bonus. when we arrived the view from the front...of the restaurant was nothing short of magical. Then we had the food. The sea bass and the king crab were the best I've ever eaten some taken from the water just before it hit our table. Paired with their delicious bread and nice wine pairings it was one of my top food experiences.More

You won't be disappointed here. if you love crab, and fresh fish, this is a must stop. Sure the roads getting here aren't the best, but they reminded us of home! We live off dirt/rocky roads. The crab is cooked perfectly and they demonstrated how...to easily get it our of the shell. The fish that we had along with it was tender and so flavorful. It's well worth the 90 minutes to get here. Resonantly priced too.More

We drove an hour plus from Ushuaia to this rustic waterside restaurant. The owner and staff are delightful! Two of us jumped into the zodiac with the skipper to pick our king crabs out of the Beagle Channel. An adventure! The crabs are cooked and...cooled. Delish! Reservations are a MUST! Wine was also delish!More

Diana and her family give you their hearts . this place is much more than just food for your stomach, it feeds your soul . If you are looking for a Michelin star like restaurant this is not your place , but if like me..., you are looking for something real , authentic , filled with life and love then this place is a revelation. I don't know if it was the exquisite "centolla" or the warm welcome , or the coffee with the family after the restaurant was closed that did it , but what I can say is that after being in 3 Michelin star restaurants that have no soul , this place is like finding heaven. Like all very good things , you need to earn it . The road is not easy , and even when you reach Puerto Almanza after 1,5 h of off road driving , you'll have to go an extra 10km to get there . The entrance and the first look of the place will make you doubt . Don't ... You'll find happiness and fulfillment at the end. A small fisherman's cabin , turned into a 5 table restaurant . initially a business on the side for this family of sea spider fishermen is now becoming their main business . they have people coming from cruise boats to their place to eat "centolla" at 9am. You are welcomed by the owner Diana , who will explain the options. You can even fish your own sea spider and they will cook it for you. Everything is fresh , authentic , home made , and with a lot of love. This is a place that will change you life .... Congratulations , Diana and all the family , never in my life a restaurant brought tears to my eyes . Deeply thankful Sebastien from toulouse FranceMore

This restaurant is worth the drive from Ushuaia! The seafood couldn't be fresher. The presentation is beautiful and the service was amazing. The owner even alerted us to a whale sighting basically right out the front door. It is definitely a don't miss!

Went from Ushuaia 100 minutes each way over some pretty rough roads but it was well worth it. Please be aware they only take cash it’s 2800 pesos for a king crab enough for two. When you order it the guy launches the boat and...comes back with it and allows you to hold it for a photo before cooking. When they bring it to the table they show you how to eat it. Only space for about 20 diners so best to use their Facebook page to book and last service is about 3pm. We shared a table with a Brazilian and Argentine couples and left as new friends. By chance it was the Brazilian guy and my birthday and when the team of three cook boatman and waitress found out they gave us free deserts with candles to blowout and sang happy birthday. A wonderful day. Great personable peopleMore

The atmosphere, food and staff were amazing. The king crab was the best I had anywhere- including other Ushuaia restaurants! Appetizers of fresh bread with king crab and a drizzle of sauce tasted heavenly. It was served under a glass and smoke in it. The...dish has shells and brown sugar sand it stimulated you visual and olfactory senses! When it was brought it was like opening a gift. I ordered the king crab that was shelled. There were heaps of crab meat along with walnuts, quince slices, celery and a sauce. I didn’t really eat the sauce- it was delicious- I was so enamored with the freshness of the king crab.More

What an amazing surprise, today we came here to fish some crabs and we thought we would have a simple lunch instead we had wonderful meal: we ate “bruschetta” with crab spread served with charcoal, giant clams with cheese, octopus with onions and tomatoes, king...crab legs with apples and walnuts, king crab cocktail, a delicious local sea bass (rebozo ), local trout and wild salmon, finished with home made sweets. Everything was delicious, the service friendly and the ambience unique. I highly recommend it I rarely give 5 stars, if this restaurant were in a city I would probably rate it 4 but considering how far it is from everything the results are outstanding. Well done !!More
