Went because of the great reviews. Nice and cosy ambiance, and I'm assuming the place offers good value for money for quick meals (minutas). Was not impressed by their trout though. They had run out of white wine, cash only, and rather slow service.More

This is a perfect place for anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy and warm environment. The tortilla española was fantastic, the mila napo (milanesa napolitana) is probably one of the best ever and it is also very generously sized and the trout...was wonderfully prepared.More

When you arrive is a simple place, not too ostentatious, very nice decoration and cool soft music, instantly takes you to a different place of relaxation and slow motion. The service was purely excellent. The waiter had perfectly clear how each dish was being cooked...and he explained it in a way that made you want to eat everything! He was also attentive, polite and social, all in good levels. We had the fonda specials: Portobello mushrooms filled with trout, accompanied with saffron couscous and cherry tomatoes and trout in a casserole with eggs to the perfect middle point of cooking. Both amazing, perfect balance of flavors, well-combined textures, and generous portions. I was blown away by the end of my meal and felt perfectly pampered. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert, and it was a bread pudding with red fruits syrup and homemade Americana icecream, with just a leaf of mint, giving it a fresh touch. I enjoyed every part of it, without any single "downside". Completely happy and in love with life when I left that place.More

Simply excellent! We were recommended this restaurant and couldn't have been more satisfied. Great food and an interesting menu. Be sure to try something from they weekly wine list.
I had the pleasure to be visiting VLA and found Fonda Almafuerte. Not only I was served in a warm and friendly way but the food surpassed all my expectations. Portions are huge, dishes well presented and very inviting and the price surprisingly affordable. Great...atmosphere created by the unique ingredients added by its owners, Andy in the front of friendliness and service and George adding the necessary Magic to make me want to come back for more!More
