We had this last night. The pizza was amazing. South American style so did not have tomato-based sauce.
Empanadas were out of this world. If I had to do it again I think I just would’ve eaten empanadas
Maybe it was our mistake by ordering the hamburger and fries. They were both horrible. The hamburger didn't even taste like meat. It must have come out of a frozen box. The fries were probably also of the frozen variety. The Cesar's salad was not...much better. We also had an empanada, which was OK, but lacked flavor. They did refund the value of the hamburger, hence the 2 stars, otherwise they would have received one. There was also a little girl running around all the tables (maybe 2 yrs old) The owner should have spoken to the mother.More
This place was packed so we tried it for lunch. Looks are deceiving. The hamburger was a Pati (frozen and very common pressed meat the quality of a poor mans burger in the US. We had better better empanadas down the street.
The chefs salad...was ok.
I guess it must be the pizza that makes the place so popular.
Service was fine.More
We ate at pizza cala and it was great. Good service, great pizzas and empanadas. Prices are good, not expensive according to food quality.
We recommend to eat here. Kids friendly.
Also, beer friendly 😃
Great empanadas! Brick oven baked, with terrific fillings that were very juicy and moist...my favorites, the lamb (cordero), the mushroom (champinones) and the beef. Their pizza, made from the same dough, is also excellent. Salads were great.
You can't get a better empanada than Pizza...Cala. Lively casual place, great for singles, couples, families, groups, etc.More
Visited here for an early dinner, the pizza is very good and the service was also good. I wouldn’t say it’s great value but everything was good including the wine.
Sit inside or out by the street, music playing but not too loud. Overall very...goodMore
My wife and I share a pizza here last week while in San Martine fly fishing with Jack Trout internatonal. The fishing was just the best ever and the pizza in this place was pretty good. The pizza cheese is a little bit yellow for...my liking but altogether pretty good. The staff very nice and the place is busy -- and it's open in the afternoon when most places are closed, so enjoy.More
