Best! Must go :) The owner/chef makes his own cheese --- TRY THEM ALL AND THEN TAKE THEM HOME. Everything was delicious. All of the salads were perfect. We got the gigantic rib of meat and also a bife normal. The bife was more tasty...than the gigantic rib so in the end we enjoyed the entertainment of the giant rib but didn't make a dent.More
We enjoyed a nice dinner at this restaurant. They have a good wine selection and wonderful staff, and the food was good. Our only disappointment was that there was nothing with marinara, or anything very authentic Italian. It is also a bit expensive for the...area.More
I went there on 2 separate occasions with family, both times for lunch. We all loved it.
The beef, fish, vegetarian dish, burrata ravioli were all great. The desserts were also very good. Good wine selection.
We’ve had Liz as our server and we were...all impressed with her knowledge, friendliness and her great attitude. We would have tried a different restaurant but we went back looking forward to receive the same great service.More
We had a trip to Plaza Huincul, needed to spend a night at Neuquén and walked to La Toscana. What a treat, never expected this classy place out in the Province. Ee ordered the Tabla de queso, cheese sampler, which beautifully presented with fruit and...honey. Amazing. We had trout and beef-vacío, very happy with our choices.
Highly recommended if in Buenos Aires, out in the country, six-stars!More
My oldest son and family live in Neuquen and La Toscana is their go to place for special occasions. We had 12:30pm reservations on a Sunday. There were only a few tables when we arrived but the place was packed when we left. Probably be...best to make reservations. The menu though not extensive had a nice variety of foods to choose. Lamb appears to be their speciality and was very good. Others who had beef said theirs was also very good. The salads were fabulous as were the desserts. The serving sizes are quite big. The wine selection was very good and it is hard to beat an Argentine wine. We were there with my two grandchildren (ages 3 and 5 years) and there were a few other tables with children, so definitely kid friendly. But the room is large enough for those who don't want to be seated next to children. It is best to know some Spanish to be able to read the menu and communicate with the servers.More
Dinner with colleagues. The Toscana beef portion is big, so bring your appetite. Remember to order it “red” otherwise it was way over cooked & tough. Ended the meal with the crepe con leches. It was sweetened condensed cow’s milk ( we opted out of...the goat milk variety). It didn’t look necessarily special, but it did taste divine.
Had the Fin wine...you can buy it at the Neuqen Airport when departing the town.More
We have reservations and be seated right away, is a must have at least for dinner in working days.
The food was great, we order beef, chorizo and ojo de bife, appetizers the melt cheese.
The only concern was about the service, several basic mistakes...indicate that the excellence isn’t on the priority, as the food is.
I will return if be in town,More
Very nice decoration and excellent service. I went solo after visiting some clients in the city and waiters were very kind to make some conversation, to re-heat my meat since it was so big it took me a long time to eat. A long list...of salads with home made cheeses are included (I chose an arugula, goat cheese and prosciutto salad). You are also serve a variety of home made breads in their clay oven with home made pathe and seasoned pickles. Wine list is awesome and with very reasonable prices (I recomend you try local wines from the Neuquen region such as Gran Reserva from Fin del Mundo). Their menu is short but includes specialties from their region such as Patagonia goat (try this), the typicall Argentinean bife de chorizo, and trout or salmon... this is my second time here and I fully recommend anyone coming to Neuquen to visit this restaurant. Be prepared to spend 30-50 dollars per person for the full outstanding experience (including salad, entree and wine).More
Loved the short but really good menu. The staff recommended great Pinot Noir from the region to have with the delicious burrata starter. The steak was fabulous, rare how we love it, very tender with a tasting chimichurri.
