We stop in Esquel for dinning, and immediately we spot a very attractive restaurant entrance. It was this place. Once we get through the doors we were thrilled to see the antiques displayed on the wall. Some of the pieces, bring me memories from my childhood. As we walk through it admiring the antiques on the wall, a server welcomes... More

Had lunch here when in Esquel and highly recommend it. We had the ravioli infused in Malbec - ie purple ravioli. Really tasty and like nothing we've tried before. The Chef is a cutie who's really passionate about his Italian heritage (the decor is very quirky) along with the cuisine. Delicious wine as well.

We arrived to almost empty restaurant and still we waited quite a while to get the menu and to order some food. Each step of ordering or asking for something was taking really a long time, although the restaurant was basically empty. From the food pint of view, thing were much brighter. All the dishes we ordered were really tasty... More

we come back from a great trekking with the best guides of the area (walter&estefania echereguini@gmail.com) and we were super hungry and I think we had the best home made pasta outside italy in a very beautiful restaurant.

Ok, by this time you already know that there is a resident magician at Don Chiquino. "Humm..." you may say, trying to figure out if this is good or bad news. But doubt not: the place is highly recommendable. Very authentic ambiance with antiques pending from the walls, italian style cuisine performed with great competence, friendly atmosphere and fair pricing.... More

On holiday in Argentina for a month and fancied a break from parillas which we love. Decided pasta would fit the bill and this place seemed popular with locals. We had the starter of smoked deer, boar, trout and cheese which was good. Unfortunately while still finishing this, the mains arrived. I could possibly have forgiven their premature arrival had... We were told that Esquel is a gastronomially challenged town - which there is some truth but is a little unfair. We came here on my birthday - it was a great place, good service, lots of old artefacts in the restaurant and they took great care of us. Great pasta - magician - very talented.-one of the cheapest meals... More
