Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here for dinner and it was a very bad experience to us. There was one lady taking our order with very rude attitude, later we asked for the spicy sauce and it never came. The dinner got worse when she gave us the...bill missing 1 dish, we talked to one old man to add it and he told us that she did that to put the money in her own pocket. What a bad night!More

The only thing that was 'good' where the empanadas. Bread was 3 days old, the cazuela de llama was 5 days old and the sauce was missing. Even when we asked for more sauce, it was still missing. Too bad because the first time we...ate there ( empanadas) it was good.More

We came to Chuspita after the much better pena Carlitos was closed for a private function unfortunately. There was a terrible smell of body odour in Chuspita which pervaded the whole place. There were 3 musicians, one excellent guitarist who sang and told stories, and...two annoying teenagers who didn't stop playing on their mobile phones and whacking each other. One of the teenagers did have some talent on the pan flutes (although pan flutes are on the same level as bagpipes for me in terms of annoying instruments) the other pendejo was whacking his drums way to hard and drowning out the excellent singer songwriter. We had to leave early. The dessert was passable and the house red lamentable.More

less touristy than some of the other penas, (more locals or at least, Argentinians) great atmosphere and exuberant performers of Andean music

If you want to have one of the most magical nights in Tilcara, go to this place! They have a variety of dishes and local drinks as international as well. The musicians are the best!

A fun evening of music. Two local bands (one folk group and one guitar band) put on a few hours of music while you eat and drink. Like most places in town it is packed by 9pm and you need to turn up by 8.30...to get a table, but then gets emptier at about 11. It serves traditional food and you might wait for about an hour for food to come. Go for the music (and eat and drink, but don't expect fine dining and speedy service).More

We ended our night the worst possible way going to this place. Sure the music was cute but when we asked for just a beer the women mentioned a service charge. When we paid she charged us double and was rude to us in the...process. "Ya te dije, entendes?" Honestly there have got to be better places than this dump. And we have traveled enough to know scams when we see one. This was one.More
