We came to this restaurant out of a recommendation. Food was good, and tasted very sophisticated. It is a pity that what could have been a wonderful experience was ruined by less than standard quality of service. As we were to try different dishes we...shared. We had our entrée and when the second course came, the owner himself didn’t want to change our plates in order to have clean ones. I thought this conduct was ridicule and left without having dessert. The restaurant only accepted cash, no fiscal receipt issued. Neither debit nor credit cards which makes no sense in a touristy area like Tilcara.More

A beautiful restaurant decorated by the owners own paintings, with amazing service and local gourmet food. Fantastic experience.

Walking around Tilcara early evening I came across this restaurant on the square. The menu is short but I could have eaten each dish as all looked really tasty. I recommend this restaurant if you are in town. Great food, good wines and attentive service....Oh and for us from Europe they open early!More

The food here was excellent. We tried Llama for the first time - sorry vegetarians or animal lovers! But I also had a delicious tamales and vegetarian salad with quinoa and chargrilled vegetables. The menu is smaller than many other places but the menu is...interesting and meals are obviously prepared with care.More

Rated #1 on TA and for a good reason. The menu had about 10 different dishes, the food was good and there were some interesting things to choose from on the menu including two vegetarian dishes. We had different things on both our visits. First...time we went was Saturday night. We arrived early and got the last table - all the others were reserved and we watched as many were turned away. So we booked for Monday night too. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Accepts Visa but not sure about other credit cards. Typical costs we paid were 1400 to 1600 pesosMore

We have eaten 3 dinners in Tilcara and this provided the best. Regional cooking excellently executed and with delightful touches. Service and atmosphere great. Appears to be very popular so we'd recommend booking ahead. If we ever came to Tilcara again this would be our...restaurant of choice.More

We had the best of 3 meals in Tilcara here and if we were staying longer we would pay a second visit. Tamal starter followed by beautifully cooked braised lamb with quince jelly were fantastic. Interesting dishes, well cooked and well presented with good service...and a nice ambience. Well worth making a reservation.More

Food was delicious. We ordered humita to start and llama for mains, both were very flavourful and well presented. So good we went back a second night to order the lamb! Great atmosphere inside with candles and the bill is hand drawn with images of...items you ordered.More

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, nice food (meat and also vegetarian), a good wine selection and an outstanding invoice. Each invoice is a piece of art and shows handpainted sketches of your food. There are a lot of paintings on the walls and the...furniture is really cozy. You feel more beeing in a private club than being in a restaurant. We enjoyed both evenings very much.More
