One traditional cafe in Buenos Aires that you just can't miss. You can have lunch there too, but it has been born as a place to have a cafe with friends and chat over that coffee. You cannot go to Buenos Aires and not have...More

A must if you like to have a tea with wonderful pastries, cakes, etc. Not in the most touristy area, but definitely worth the visit! A piece of Buenos Aires tradition.

This is an old historic coffee shop that has been redone. Fabulous interior with marble columns. We just did coffee and a pastry, but well worth the visit for that alone. Wait staff was terrific - being older gentleman - they knew how to do...More

It's the 'ambiente'. Professional waiters, marble columns, mirrors, the confectionary case, high ceilings, the arches, the people watching....that's worth five stars. The food is fine. If you are a tourist you will find the 'sandwiches de miga' wonderful as are the pastries and the 'media...More

We had read about the high tea at Las Violetas and decided to try it. We arrived there around 2pm and asked for the Maria Calas afternoon tea. Thankfully, we asked for just one platter to share between two of us, as when it arrived,...More

This is a place where you feel that you traveled in time, back to the end of the nineteenth century, beginning of the twentieth century, when the grand splendor of the city was happening. Therefore you will find a beautiful big salon with colorful vitraux...More

No need to book. Just show up, choose an empty table and one of the white-coated waiters will come around with a menu.
