I had high hopes for this restaurant. And it's called Piegari carnes (meats) so that had to be good. I invited a client there for lunch as a sign of appreciation. We ordered a shared starter, which was good, and then a shared main: ojo...de bife(a steak ) with fries. The meat didn't taste like barbecued meat at all. When I cook meat at home on the stove it tastes better. And the fries tasted like they had been boiled and then dipped in oil for a second. The worst I've had in a very long time. My guest had ice cream for dessert, which was fine because it was Freddo. We parked in the complex, and were asked for the parking tickets. We thought that was nice and unexpected. But when we went to validate them, the restaurant covered only the first hour. In my opinion, it's would be way better if they didn't pay for that hour. Either you pay for it, or you don't. I don't appreciate 'half a benefit'. It cost $ 5000 (tip included) for two, with two coffes. This is quite expensive in Buenos Aires,it should have been great. I definitely wouldn't go back. Friendly staff, though.More

Excellent food, wonderful service in a classic restaurant of so many years. Everything was on BASF and sealed so safety was perfect.

One of the nicest restaurants I have ever eaten at. Decor is quite nice, however, its the beautiful meals they serve. Well known for its steak, but they also have great pasta as well - something for everybody. I normally eat steak 4-5 times per...year, but once I tried my first steak there, I wanted to go back again 4 days later and we did - not disappointed. The wine was wonderful too and the service A1.More

We wanted to experience a meat restaurant as mentioned in all the guidebooks. My husband had a t-bone steak which was huge and delicious. I ordered pork ribs which had a huge amount of meat on them. The spinach with garlic was very garlicky, the...Spanish chips seemed to be like any other chips. We were given a very nice aperitive of campari, lemon, sugar and water. Wines, particularly red excellent. Desserts also good.More

I was met at the door by Hugo, the maitre d'. That was a delightful beginning to a marvelous meal. I had the rib eye steak with a salad. The steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The chimichurri was a fabulous condiment. I couldn’t have...been happier with my meal and my visit. Highly recommended. And, incidentally, great value.More

We had been in Buenos Aires for three days and had yet to find a steak that was like people rave over. Then we ate here. The Kobe beef ribeye I had cut like butter it was so tender. My husband loved his filet mignon....The attention to detail makes this restaurant stand apart from its competitors. We had several waiters. Each one was in charge of a separate food service. Our main waiter was delightful and kept an eye on everything. We had a steak knife steward who made sure our knives were sharp and worked for us. The dessert waiter assured us we didn’t need to order two desserts. The portion would be plenty big enough for two. He was right. And then our main waiter poured us extra wine to have with our dessert even though we had ordered just one glass for each of us. When we were done the manager (maitre D?) checked with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Oh my goodness yes! Loved everything about this restaurant. I highly recommend it. Something to be said about the place when you see the wait staff always smiling.More

We were in the city to start a Patagonian Cruise. After flying all night, we stopped in here for lunch and what a treat. My wife says best steak she has ever eaten, that is quiet a statement. WE have had beef all over the...world. The steak was exceptional, we went with waiters recommendation. They flame grill their meats. Meal was outstanding and the concierge took care of us. Due to very strong dollar vs the Peso, prices are ridiculously low. A three course dinner for two with an upgrade on bottle of wine was $85 total! This meal would be around $200 in the US. If you crave beef and are in the Recoleta area, go here !!More

I enjoyed a very late lunch at Piegari Carnes. The restaurant table setting looks formal; the restaurant atmosphere is warm and casual. I enjoyed the impeccable service of a very helpful waiter that made great recommendations (wine, rib-eye steak) and started the meal with a...glass of Prosecco. I enjoyed the steak and massive loaded baked potato; I had no room to enjoy dessert.More
