I was on Buenos Aires for business and while walking through Puerto Madero found this crowded italian restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was excellent, the waiters are not so gentle but they did the necesarry. I had a spaghetti fruti di Mare that was excellent and for dessert a Dulce de Leche Volcano that was... More

Finding a restaurant open before 8:00pm in Buenos Aires can be challenging. La Parolaccia is open all day and serves good Italian food. Service was great and the atmosphere is very nice. Good selection of wines.

The dishes were ok, the waiters friendly, the prices like they are in business districts, the coffees excellent. But somehow, we didn't feel comfortable: So many waiters walking around and so little efficiency - and so much machismo behind the scene.

Almost all the best restaurants of Buenos Aires are located in Puerto Madeira. The variety is great. La Parolaccia is without any doubt a good alternative if you want to eat some decent Italian food. I recommend.

It is located in the famous old warehouse district of "Puerto Madero". Solid Italian Place (packed with people we had to wait for an hour for our table). Reservations a must, especially on weekends. Traditional italian food all well prepared.

This restaurant is located directly at Puerto Madero and you may eat looking at the dams. They have a working Wifi, but unfortunately it is not strong enough at the windows towards the dams, so, if you need to get online, stay away from the windows. Take a table located at the center. It is quite busy during lunch (be... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
