The food was average at best and took a long time to be served, and the staff doesn't really speak any English, but it's a nice place to go to immerse yourself in what Argentina really is. Peanut shells litter the floor tiles, old gin...More

This bar is quintessential San Telmo of old. The coffee is amazing, the beer is Argentina-meh, and it's one of the few places in Argentina where you find peanuts, much less to throw on the floor, offered just because. This place feels like Buenos Aires...More

Our hotel in SanTelmo had suggested Bar Cafe Plaza Dorrego as an interesting place for lunch. It was a nice place to take a break from shopping and crowds and worth a stop but not to eat. From the mosaic floor tiles to the wonderful...More

Quaint little cafe right on the Plaza and it is everything you'd want in a simple cafe. The food is not stunning, but it's adequate. You can tell it has been around forever and while there are some tourists here and there, most of the...More

Bar Plaza Dorrego is across the Plaza from the Anselmo Curio Hotel. Definitely some history here. Amazed places like this still exist. Small, busy, old but quaint place with tight seating. If you don't speak Spanish you may have to wait for them to acknowledge...More

We stumbled into this place as we were at the fair and needed a break. The interior is really appealing with lots of antique items. It has an old world feel to it. Service was friendly and attentive and prices were reasonable. Get a seat...More

A disservice to such a great and historic location. Place is dirty, not maintained and the old man behind the cashier needs a shower. On the opposite corner, Starbucks getting all the clientele. I hope someone takes over such a good place. Not recommended.
